Ι want to see proper papal elections, with a College of Cardinals and the cardinal's lieges able to intervene, Cadet branches and a Orthodox lieges have something to say anout the appointment of Bishops (especially when the Emperor appoints someone as Ecumenical Patriarchal... Historically the person who would fill the office of Ecumenical Patriarch was personally selected by the Emperor)

And i can think several cool chain events for them!

No, they were not "personally selected". But it was required for the Emperor to (what is the word?) agree to the appointment for it to be valid.

Also the college of cardinals did not work that way in this time period.

Wrong... Almost 80% of Patriarchs were personally selected by the Emperor... I can think of several like Fravitas, Sergios I, Thomas I, Niketas II, Leontios, Nikolaos I, Euthimios I, Nikolaos IV and many many more... Try reading "De Administrando Imperio" writen by Emperor Constantine VII which describe with every detail the process of selecting a new Patriarch by the Emperor... What you described above was implemented in 1400s during the last years of the Empire.

As for Cardinals Pope Nicholas II Bull "In Nomine" around 1060s consolidated the privilege of Cardinal Bishops to select the new Pope with the Cardinal Priests and Cardinal Deacons giving consent to the election but were denied the right to vote... Nicholas II successors eventually granted Priests and Deacons the right to vote. So you can have some events firing up reflecting these changes...

I am in favour of these two as they are historically correct...

Cadet Branches (for those like the OP worried about how this will affect savegames: copy your game into another folder, that way Steam will only update its copy of CK2 and you can still play the old version on the other copy).

The ability to name grandchildren

An option to reject the suggested name for a child and get another suggestion (sometimes I don't want that particular name, but I'd like more culturally appropriate suggestions).

The ability to raises the levies in particular provinces (I.e. The default would be to raise levies like in 1.07, but I could also select a specific province in my realm and raise the levies there. So, for example if the Duke of York owned a random province in Ireland, I could raise just the troops fro there rather than calling on his whole levy and having it start off in England).

I would like to see also:

More variants for Faces. I think this is just not enough. So, more different chins, necks, eyebrows, cloths etc, and most importantly -> more variants of Beards (and to be implemented that orthodox priests must have beard).

Also I would like to design not only rulers but his/her whole family and a members of the court. Possible?

Absolute authority actually being a viable method of governing a kingdom: right now there's no point to ever raising it past medium.
Non-aggression pacts, this could be helpful in letting small realms not being devoured by holy wars
An event where if your court chaplain is studying cultural tech instead of converting to a heresy he might convert to a seperate religion entirely
More random flavor events, I'd imagine conquering the cities of Rome or Constantinople would be extremely significant

The Patriarchs listed are not of the time-period

Is it not true that a vast majority of the cardinals were Latins? Thus what is the point of adding all those kinds of changes?

By 10th century the office of Cardinal started to be awarded to Bishops and clergymen all around Europe... Before that it was restricted only to Roman priests and deacons so i dont see any reason why we shouldnt incorporate that in the game along with Papal election.

As for Patriarchs i can name a whole bunch of them (all within the game's timeframe of the game which were personal choices of the Emperor) Patriarch Leo (previously a priest of Hagia Sophia personal choice of Emperor John II) Patriarch Constantine III (personal choice of Constantine X to replace the deposed Patriarch Michael I) Patriarch Eustratios (personal choice of Emperor Alexios I and his mother Anna Dalassene) Patriarch Michael III (personal choice of Emperor Manuel I) Patriarch George II (personal choice of Emperor Alexios I) Patriarch John X (personal choice of Emperor Alexios III after a suggestion from his mother Euphrosyne whose relative was John) Patriarch Michael IV (personal choice of Emperor Theodore I) Patriarch Nikolaos III (personal choice of Emperor Alexios I to replace Patriarch Eustratios who the Emperor had deposed) Patriarch John IX (personal selection of Emperor Manuel I who needed a Patriarch to crown him immediately because Patriarch Leo had died shortly before) Patriarch Basileios II (personal choice of Emperor Andronikos I)

Want more???? I can fill at least 2 pages with Patriarchs being directly appointed by Emperors... I dont have a degree in Byzantine History and Archaeology just for fun...

Wrong... Usually Emperor chose from several candidates whom he gave the Ecumenical Council. A similar system was also in Moscow.

But the main flaw in the patch 7.1 that autocephalous orthodox Patriarchs have all the orthodox kingdom(!), and they can be changed as you want without any penalties. In real life, the new orthodox Patriarch could create only the orthodox Ecumenical Council. In the game he did not, and thus is missing and Orthodoxy. About orthodox Metropolitans completely forgotten.

The funny thing is that the game is about the Crusades, and developers oversimplify religious systems.

There's a lot of awesome and great FREE stuff in the new patch. Congratulations to the Paradox team, for having such an awesome update. But lots of new content also means more possible bugs, which sadly is the case with the new patch. So a new patch, or a hotfix, is needed (which is an awesome thing as well).

In CK1 exisitng charaters where elected Pope IIRC, yet in CK2 they seem, to appear out of nowhere.
Maybe the naming convention does that.

Nope but i wont argue about this any further since its not the right forum for this discussion... However read "De Administrando Imperio" and "De Ceremoniis" both written by Emperor Constantine VII and you will understand how a Patriarch was selected in 10th-11th century... Plus Ecumenical Councils never elected Patriarch except from cases of extreme necessity. Patriarchal Synods yes Ecumenical Councils NO.
