2. The mongols:
Minor: The Mongol invasion should change so that the people they conquer will all become their vassals and never be replaced by a new and randomly generated mongol nobility. This will prevent the mongols and their nobilty culture from destroying and replacing all the European ones but will also piss off alot less players who want to play in the eastern Russian/Cuman region without becoming a giant ahistorical empire to defeat the mongols. On top of that, it is also alot more realistic as in real life most people conquered by the Mongols were subdued and not replaced.

I disagree. In real life most people who stood in the Mongols' way were given a choice: submit or be destroyed. A lot of them chose to submit, and thus survived. Those who resisted, however, tended to get massacred. I really don't think therefore that your proposal would represent that very well. Plus it leads to strange situations where the vassal king of Hungary (pissed off because he got conquered) keeps on rebelling until he gets his title revoked anyway.

Perhaps it would be better for anyone on the receiving end of a Mongol Invasion DOW to receive an event, with the choice to resist, or yield. Resisting will lead on to a normal war with horrible consequences for the defender if he loses. Submitting surrenders the territory to the Mongols, and if that's all the character's territory then he becomes a Mongol vassal. With associated piety/prestige penalties, of course.

Less fickle factions. Something more permanent and more sensible. I don't want to see heirs that don't dislike their lieges starting independence factions or whatever when they only have to wait a year. Heirs who are dukes supporting themselves in elections for titles they are heir to, or supporting their fathers in titles they're aspiring to. As William the bastard, Robert flip flops between plotting to steal a claim on England, backing me for king of France, backing himself, backing the duke of Burgundy, all sorts of stupid crap that can only possibly hurt him.

A better representation of the Holy Roman Empire, they shouldn't culturally assimilate all non-Germans there should be some kind of accepted culture tweak to kingdoms, such as adding Italian, Dutch, and Frankish to their culture acceptance.

I agree completely. AI goes bonkers like this in elective very often.

I want 1.08 to be purely a balancing patch. No new features please for at least one iteration! Just balance. Adjust the muslim CBs, take a serious & deep look at the way retinue caps are computed, and make the factions smarter about themselves and about what they actually want.

I just posted this in Fatimid Thread, but I will throw it here, just in case.

I would, also, want an option (like it was in EUIII iirc) for Historical Kind of Game - that is: AI who would try to imitate as much as possible how the realms and Kingdoms really did it in history. And the other option would be just random as it is now.

Either 1.08 or sometime in future.

+ Judaism (perhaps playable Khazars, Semien and Jewish communities as DLC)
+ Fixed patriarchs, new patriarchs should be rare.
+ More minor cultures.
- No removal of the Imperial Conquest CB as mentioned a few times here. The Byzantine Empire considers itself the Roman Empire already.

+small adjustment to the "restor roman empire" event. either HRE should dissolve and be renamed Germanic empire or a succesion war over Imperial title should start between HRE and ERe over the "Translatio Imperii." If byzzies win, they get the roman title and germans lose the empire tier, whereas if germans win, byzzies lose the option to implement the event. Papacy should be tied into this too, since it was the pope who gave and validates the imperial title to the franks.

I think this would work better as a new event. It would open up some cool gameplay options. :)

I would like to see the additional troops getting removed for Plots like Independence claims.

ATM it is just ridiculous that some pesky, little counts that can raise around 40% of my levies can cheat this way to get around 3x 30k "Golden Horde" Stacks (Immune to attrition with tons of horse archers). Their power is not enough to be threat for me so they spawn the best troops in game out of nowhere? But okay, I am fine with a challenge, as long as it is a challenge and not a pain in the ass. As you might agree I have to gather up an army of equal size or bigger to counter this death-stacks. But hey, they have no attrition and camp in 20k Supply areas. So I have to steer 50k of men through 3-4 20k Supply areas to even reach them? Well, the attrition kills enough of them so they cant beat the enemy any more. So what to do? Yes, send in my own retinues with nonstop reinforcements to survive the attrition (what a bullshit). But hey, those 3 death-stacks just assault my freshly conquered provinces without any strategical meaning, and guess what? They are winning this way! They have filled the war score just as fast that my retinues were still on the half way to even reach them. I had this problems before but ATM my anachronistic professional army of nonstop raised demesne+retinue troops is not enough to cover my whole empire.

I have no problem with independence factions, even it is stupid to let counts with an approval rating around 40 enter them, but hey, I am okay with that. It is just that they spawn super-troops from nowhere to win this war. But when I get a Jihad on my country there is nobody to defend? Yes, makes totally sense. Where the hell do they get some of the deadliest troops of this centuries from? I am a friggin emperor with levies of nearly 200k and knight retinues of around 12k Light Cav and 18k Heavy Cav. They would have no chance against me! But why on earth does such a faction, consisting of around 20 or 30 counts, receive such a huge troop amount? I mean, I have around 200 direct vassals, why does every faction that is to weak must be improved by some ghost army? If the faction is to weak, they are too weak. It is just as easy as that. You do not get 10 additional spy masters for a killing plot, why do you get whole armys for independence claim instead? I make my vassals weak on purpose! But hell, why should I do that if the game just gifts them doom-stacks that win a war against an empire that spans all of western and parts of eastern Europe? Where do they get this troops from they cant rally if some Muslim sultan tries to conquer their own territory in a holy war. What are those kind of soldiers that watch their own country getting owned by some muslim but take arms to fight for the independence against the empire that grants safety and peace and, if opposed, promise the utter destruction of their home? That takes their land, their wealth and their family. An empire that rewards its loyal servants but crushes its traitors?

As a liege I do not want to be loved, I do not want to be hated but at least I want to be respected. And forcing me to surrender after some horse-loving-vagabunds have conquered five unimportant border provinces is an insult against my honor, the honor of the line of emperors and kings I call my ancestors, the honor of every vassal of my empire and at least against the honor of god that has made me the legitimated ruler - IN HIS NAME! I just want some mechanic to burn down all those rebellious provinces, wipe complete families and take some pogroms against all cultures that are not mine. If they have the tools of utter destruction I want some "Ultima-Ratio" mechanic of vengeance to.

I want some "Fear"-Rating! ATM your vassals can love or hate you. But why not fear me? When I execute complete families because of treachery they just hate me and are more likely to do a rebellion of their own? Hello?! They saw what happened to this treacherous scum and now even the weakest count is plotting against me too? The reason for some tyrants to be a tyrant was to control their vassals, to make them fear their power and to be silent. They might hate this tyrant, but at least they are not doing some fancy rebellion faction. Also I want some kind of CB against Factions. Even the mere plotting against the ruler by the grace of god can be considered as treason and will therefore punished with the most violet acts I can imagine. Do not expect mercy in the name of god if you have tried to usurp against an emperor whose legitimation is based upon the will of god.

+ Byzantine Empire loses Imperial Reconquest CB (make it available only to the Roman Empire).

Isn't the whole point of the Imperial Re-conquest CB so that the Byzantines can become the Roman Empire? Making it so they can only conquer their former territory via a special CB...after they have already reconquered the territory in order to form the Roman Empire... would seem a little broken wouldn't you agree? :p

+ Judaism (perhaps playable Khazars, Semien and Jewish communities as DLC)

Paradox has already said that they will not be adding Judaism into the game, I'd assume basically because there's too much of a risk of getting bad publicity due to certain pressure groups being highly sensitive.

This is brilliant!! Please take note of this Paradox! I would love to see this implemented! :)

I want to see culture be able to spread regardless of the top liege, he should have nothing to do with it. If a province meets the criteria already (neighbors the spreading culture or is de jure that culture), it should spread, a distant emperor should have nothing to do with it.

I almost forgot: Greek Byzantine vassal Douxes and Despots should be able to plot to get a non inheritable claim on the empire. This would help simulate usurpations that weren't through a dynastic claim and help make the Byzantines feel less feudal.

* A 'recall to court' option so if your new steward is leading troops you can ask him to come and do his duties, rather than find the unit, disband it, and then be able to ask him to do his duties. (and of course if he's leading troops in some piddly minor vassal war...). (Or even let them do both - its a bit bizarre that the marshall never leads troops).
* The ability to either a) intervene in vassal wars, or b) ask the belligerents to come to court to settle their differences. Have it at low or medium crown authority, but its ludicrous that I can be one of the largest kingdoms in europe, but can't stop two vassals from fighting without plots/assassinations, AND can't change succession laws while they are.
* Some control on the number of retinue captains. Either put a limit on their number or put them in their own tab outside of the court - its getting harder and harder to find the people I want to find.
* Rebalancing of CBs. Especially the much abused Fatamid invasion. (Cut the truce period to 3 years if its such a drama, just don't have them destroy Empires and Kingdoms in one war!)
* Don't permit the granting of titles in territory subject to war or make them subject to penalty-free revokation. (Start a de-jure war for territory in the royal demense of another state, win, oh look they appointed a new count days before winning, heres your new vassal that you can't get rid of without tyranny - bonus points if they then can get the territory back in the old kingdom through inheritance).
* Greater AI intelligence on holy wars ( have them realise that nearby countries will be called, so some poodunk count doesn't get stomped starting a holy war in Spain.)

Far more plots and things to do between wars. When I become king it is more about stopping other plots than having my own.

Also much more like summer fairs, hunts and feasts. Stuff like tournaments where you can compete, duels (where you participate), events where you can pay for at chance of converting counties to your religion etc etc. The possibilities are endless.
