- stronger/challenging ROTW nations
- eastern europe remapped from top to bottom (new and improved provinces geographically)
- new gameplay features; perhaps some added diplomacy options like heir/ruler/missionary/merchant assassination attempts
- a south-eastern asia/oceania that is more lively; addition of colonial regions in oceania
- more empire management options/features like new buildings, unit types
- adding features to the useless canals like not allowing enemies/rivals to pass through (but give them a CB for it)

Stuff added to the building side of the game, managing internal economics, production efficiency etc, and the trade game expanded, I love the change to trade goods so far but I'd like trade agreements for certain goods and other options.

While patch rather than DLC, I think some European nations need their NIs reworked. Not to boost them or anything, but many come off as kind of old now that there are so many new mechanics that many nations have ideas for.

Also, I think I would love to see some new mechanic for mercenaries. Like a "Mercenary pool" for example. Would love to see it give Switzerland more influence.

definitely missionaries, hopfully already in next dlc, how cool would it not be to send missionaries to convert Japan/Ming/India while your rivals try the same.

Lokal alliences would be nice, can be created without needing a relation slot but it would only make the partner at war with enemies on the same continent.

1) Rework every religion that has bas9icaly nothing going for it. If you arent catholic you're west african paganism from ck2.

2) Peace time and non fighting wartime options. Let's finally make espionage a worthwhile branch please

Except none succeeded historically.
I mean, if they make a mechanism causing in 90% games Asia gets converted it would be unhistorical. If they make a mechanism that happens only 10% of the time, and it's much less dramatic than Westernization, why bother?

Also, Japan already has those Catholic events...

Lokal alliences would be nice, can be created without needing a relation slot but it would only make the partner at war with enemies on the same continent.
You do realize all the mess of France, Sweden, England, Spain, Ottoman, Commonwealth, Russia, Ottomans are on the same continent? Now they are able to ally each other without dipslots?

Ugh, tell me about. Islam really got the shaft...decadence is such a great mechanic, and they only get piety in EU4? There's not even a straighten up button in EU4. Horrible design.

It's fine as is -- ledger access is very worthwhile! 400 DIP, I can see each country's manpower for the rest of the game. 400 DIP, I can see each country's army size & FL for the rest of the game. What more do you want?

I think he meant Confucianism, Buddhism, and, to a less extent, Orthodoxy and Protestant.
On the other hand, the current Shamanist/Animist/Totemist are simple too general to have any meaningful mechanism. Siberians and west africans and finns believing in the same Shamanism thing? Then how can you design a mechanism that makes sense for all of them?

* Rehaul of the buildings system. Make buildings more mutually exclusive. Force players to specialize their empire. Make all specializations have military bonuses so it's viable to go all routes. Eg Venice trade, religious gameplay, innovative renaissance country, colonial hegemony etc.

* Rehaul espionage and make money translate into diplomatic *power". By that i mean real power. Force people to disolve alliances with gold. Reflect that in reality money governs the world and you should be able to do more stuff with it diplomatically.

* Add stuff to personalize your country. Make monuments or somekind of mechanic that gives player a unique bonus. And it then gets grabbed whenever that country loses a war. So the bonus goes round like a hot potato or something.

* Rehaul naval combat. Make it easier to see where the enemies fleets are. Rescale combat. Make blockading much more valueable and increase the imporantce of naval power.
