I'd love to be able to group provinces together to form administrative regions, and then be able to name those administrative units eg duchy/archduchy/kingdom/voivodeship etc of x. This should also extend to colonies. I'd love to be able to choose if a province is a colony from an administrative point of view or if it is integrated in the realm, and to be able to name those regions the colony/captaincy/viceroyalty/dominion etc of x, and give them a regional capital to boot.

I always roleplay these things when I play, I just hope EUIV gives some in-game representation of that, like a tab/map view where I can view all these gradations of administration and a composite title of my ruler.

The more you play the more boring a game becomes and when you have a sprawling empire it eventually boils down to whether you will push for a WC or roll a new game. :/ I hope EUIV will address this and give us some ways to get more intimate with our realms.

I'd really like to see representation of other religions. Especially Judaism, despite not being an imperialist catalyst of conquest like Christianity was, it still had a role to some degree in that era [especially in places like Judea, which every religion wants]. I'd even dare and include Atheism, represented mainly by cults in the middle ages and branching out as an actual idea when getting closer to the renascence / pre-modern / modern eras alongside agnostics and other branches of Theology and Philosophy.
I'd also like to not have the enemy AI's army run away from me at the moment I'm about to get to his troops and demolish them.
No lucky nations. The AI's game can progress extremely well even without that.
The ability to alter one's war-goals during the war [Victoria 2 style].
If I'm already mentioning Vicky 2, by the way, the rally point system that it has is great.
About monarchs, there's something in CKII that I really liked about monarchs - Special traits and nicknames. I'd always love looking at the screen and noticing a king named "A King's Name the Drunkard" or "Meowkingston the Hunchback" and just laugh away. It'd also bring some more depth to the game, if you have an inbred king that may screw your country up, you may want to do something about that, or on the contrary, if you have a king who is highly intellectual and a financial genius that could boost your realm up a bit, it'd be lovely.

Just a handful of ideas off the top of my head.

Edit:
Oh god how could I have forgotten... I'd really like that none of the weird sub-mechanic for countries returns. Especially no Factions or a shogunate influence bar that causes you to be a pacifist if you are too influential.

Please keep Scotland blue, not that horrific yellow colour :(

To be honest; I think Scotland looks great in red :p
Sorry I'll be quiet :D

I personally would love union countries flags to be based upon the nation which formed it. Ie form Italian as Venice instead of the historical Sardinia-Piedmont, then the flag should represent the Lion of St Mark. Or if Scotland forms GB then the instead of the cross of St. George being the centre piece - St. Andrew's Cross should be.

I never liked the trickle reinforcement in EUIII. Please bring back the EUII mechanism.

I would like to do battles and sieges themselves on a map. I would like to fight with my troops against the enemy on a battle map like Napoleon Total War. Here is a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUPUnDEXA_o It would be very nice if i could play or preform a battle. It´s very very important. Thank´s.
No thank you, play a total war game if you want real time strategy.

I would like to see a better representation of the regions on the map and because it is such a big time span, I would like to be able to influence the development of these regions by being able to change the borders and create different regional settings.

Also,
http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum...-Converter-Project&highlight=import+save+file
as part of EU4.

Since all hardcore players want to keep all existing features and just make improvements, I would like to go deeper on the level of influence you can have on history and to be able to explore more fantasy scenarios (continuing CK2 is the best to do so, even better then modding...).

My thoughts exactly. But it would be nice to be able to also split them and then reorganize them, with the long passing of time. Especially peace treaties should be able to increase the division of those realms that seem natural from a historic point of view.

cultural and power based titles - King of Urbino alwasy kills it for me. Same as King of Austria and King of Tuscany and whatnot.

Yes this really important for me too!
Please give us more Counts, Dukes, Great Dukes, Archdukes and so on...

And it should be a way to change ranks obviously!

Another think I was thinking it would be useful to have the HRE mechanic usable for other things it could represent the Shogunate, too or some other state like organizations (The Hansa for example is more similar to HRE that to a State) and have great use for modders... for example I was talking with Steppe Wolf's developer to use the HRE mechanic to represent the EU in XX Century but it is not possible as we have to renounce to HRE then... another modder liked to use HRE to model the USA unification process (States Mods), but he cannot as we can have only one HRE!

What do you think?

I do like to have the possibility to have Elective Monarchy, too, for now the only one is HRE, again but exited other in history for example all we know Poland / Lithuania but Bohemia and Hungary were elective monarchies, too (the last two accepted the Hapsburg rule in perpetum but technically never became hereditary monarchy).
