I'd like to see Ukraine as a monarchy not a tribal federation as the Ruthenians were not tribal. If the Ruthenians revolted from Poland-Lithuania they would have seen themselves as the succesors to the principalities that existed following the fragmentation of the Kievan Rus' such as the Kingdom of Galicia–Volhynia. I always make the change even when not running mods, as it bugs me.

I'd like to see an option to generate a random new world/pacific/Australia to go with the standard Old world. Such a map would have all the new world nations, but just in new places. Such an option would allow for real exploration and many more unknowns. It would add more strategic thinking issues and immerse players into the the situation that the kings and queens of old actually faced regarding colonization and exploration.

Do you mean generic distribution of land masses or just a generic distribution of new world nations? Just curious.

1. Simplified pops system.

2. Decent Dynasty system.

3. More in-depth interaction with the provinces, regions, armies, dynasty, members of the court.

4. Law system.

I can live without the first two. Points 3. and 4. though need to be adressed if EU4 is going to be better and more interesting that EU3.

I'd like to see new land masses and island chains. That way no one would know what was where. the passage to the orient could be at the equator or mid latitude in the northern hemisphere. rich tropical islands could be east or west of any continents. I'd prefer a game where I had to actually search for good places to explore and colonize as well as one where I did not know if and where I might find great Indian civilizations.

I think in order to keep the map historical but also provide some unknowns with colonizing you should have to send your explorer out in a certain direction, and if he returns a couple of years later you get the maps of where he explored

- The ability to rename your nation under certain circumstances / choose the name of a nation when you form it.
- More or less random colonial segregration states for several European culture groups, i.e. USA for British and Irish cultures, Republic of Louisiana for French cultures, etc. etc.

-steam workshop for easily managing mods
-less randomness
-more tools/options to improve provinces
-while I do not want a very detailed military system (I don't like HoI), I do want some more options - for example it would be nice if battle events where real events where could choose different options which gives you something like +1 on next dice roll or so

I would like to have an option for buildings to be automaticaly start building when you have the ability to. Just focusing on building is tedious and in my opinion makes the game less enjoyable, by having to manually keep constructing buildings.
Maybe this can be implemented like the trade system in Eu3, red for low priority, yellow for medium, and green for high priority. Then the computer will automatically start building that type of building in provinces that don't yet have them.

Several Things

1. Full TBS settings options (ability to just pause whenever anything happens then unpause as needed). Anything = new unit forms + a few others that don't seem included in EU3.

2. Ability to use multiple cassus belli in a single war. Ability to use Cassus Belli as a defender, or when declared on by an ally.

3. Ability to select from your available missions. Some of the missions are so overpowering that if you don't get them at the right times you end up way behind compared to when you do.

4. Regional mission sets that trigger for any nation with territory in certain parts of the world so that if your nation expands into them you get interesting things that feel plausible because of becoming part of that region.

5. Major improvements to Naval Warfare.

6. Well thought out world design that you can stick with through all expansions so that you don't break mods in midstream.

7. (And most important) improvements to the strategy for the AI's so that it's harder to beat them. The strategy that comes out of AI's getting massive bonuses is very different from the strategy that comes from them playing well (as in say multiplayer vs humans) and it's nice when that gap is smaller.

I would like to see a Crusader Kings 2-ish style dynasty thing. Like with the personalities and the 2D characters. It would be a nice thing for EU4, but it would be way too much work for every emperor/king/duke/count/baron etc, to be made in every country :/.

A "Unit taking attrition" notification at the top like the "Province Decision Available". So I don't have to check each province and army one by one to find the culprit of my WE.

Like the unit numbers turning red in the outlier?

This doesn't seem to work when you're just sitting in a province, though. Tested in a quick seige just now: .33 WE per month, no red. I would like this information, too.

I'd like to see a new message setting similar to the current one that allows you to pause when a nation declares war, but allow it to be filtered by countries you're interested in. I'd basically like to be able to pause when a neighbour country gets involved in a war without monitoring them all.
