id like to see population made more sophiticated maybe populations should grow if the province is rich and controlled by a rising power but only if it has the fertile land too sustain it..... ie venice can only get so large.... if nations take heavey losses in territory maybe there capitals population should drop ie constantinoples population was tiny just before the ottomans took it..... maybe nations with high prestige traded food sources and wealth should get large pops increases..... colonies never grow as much as they should

The Hansa should not be a country, but more have a HRE like system, with loosely allied free imperial cities.
Exactly, trade leagues could function like the HRE: you can only be member or leader of one trade league (or not), so you don't get a clutter of icons and the trade league icon is always in the same spot. A trade league can have requirements (policy, support of other members, etc.) and benefits (free trade among members, support for your national merchants by other members, ship access, etc.). Those policies can be lessened or increased depending on the internal politics. The states in a trade league ought to vie for dominance within the leage, the leadership of the Hansa shifted often too.

If some important independent cities are too small to put them on the map, just draw a circle instead of trying to fake natural province borders around eg. Bremen or Hamburg.

A lot of the functioning of trade leagues depends on the new trading system, of course.

Please make it impossible to vassalize countries that are in the HRE. It's far too easy to assemble a vassal empire early in the game, or permanently subjugate the electors to earn their vote.'

Or, perhaps to do so you should need to meet strict criteria.

Yes, technically, all members of the HRE were vassals of the Emperor, after all. Perhaps the Emperor should get a CB on anyone who vassalises a HRE member. Thoug perhaps there should be some exception for internal members.

I dont know if this was discussed already but I would like to see a renaming system. Like when the Ottomans (or any Turkish nation) capture Thrace they should rename the city to Istanbul. Or if Slavs capture it they should rename it to Tzarigrad (because thats how Slavs call the city). And if Greeks or other Europeans recapture it they should rename it back to Constantinople.

Some ideas I'm having:

  1. Make possible to organize wars in more detailed way: deciding a date and a land/sea in which all the allies encounters. I hate to wait months (or forever) that my allies arrives... For Vassals I'd like to choose at least the objective, It's absurd to see all of them doing a siege that you are already doing... or worst going after a giant Army with only 1000 men! The Vassals should always go in war with their overlord not faking to do...

A "War Council" in the end...
  2. The overlord can punish or premiate Vassals, for example he can give them land without losing its cores in it, obviously
  3. Welsh / Ghibellin faction was a great part of the Mediaval age... I suppose they should be represented in some way
  4. Anti-pope in which a bigger country control him. Other countries can choose to be loyal to one Pope or another. Free casus belli for have only a Pope again...
  5. An evil protestant or hordox (Byzantium?) occupy the Papacy, it can dismantle the Holy See, declaring its faith the only Cristian faith. Expect high risk to be attacked by anyone!
  6. Leaving the "dismantle the HRE" alone, if one occupy the Emperor's lands and all the electors he should have the possibility to claim the Imperial crown too, or at least, to pretend the abdication of the current Emperor. In new elections he could win the Imperial throne.
  7. More government forms: federation / confederation, directorial republic, elective monarchy

It should be easier to avoid battle. During this time period avoiding an enemy army was typically a simple matter, but in EUIII if the enemy is set to arrive just one day before you leave a province, you're doomed to fight. This should be changed - it'll also increase the usefulness of (historically accurate) smaller armies of 6-8k, which in EUIII just got wiped out within days if they hit a larger army of ~24k.

I think it would be cool if there is some vassal management system, similar to HRE, the only difference being that I am the emperor forever:).But you could adopt some laws like in HRE that would benefit everyone or some others that would only be good to you. Also assume control option would be nice too.

One exception, Abdulhamid I briefly changed the name & minted coins referring to the city as Istanbul. ;)

Just some of my thoughts in no particular order:

- Keep the world domination balance as it is, that is: possible for those players who know what they're doing but still hard to do.
- More info in the ledger, such as:
- Total number of countries at the moment, as well as how many are independent, how many are vassals, in a PU etc..
- "Useless but fun" stats like longest/shortest war/ruler/alliance and stuff like that, highest inflation recorded in game and lots of, as I say, useless but fun stats.
- Talking about the Ledger, some people love it, while others feel it's "cheating", how about an option at the start of the game where you can chose to disable all or certain parts of the ledger for those who like to have less info to work with?
- More and better keyboard shortcuts and make them modable (from the options menu)! Especially the map modes, I'd love to be able to press "t" and get the trade map mode, "c" for colony and "d" for diplomacy. Oh, and let us hotkey armies and navies!!! Press "1" and you get your main army selected and centred! I'd pay for this lol!
- Have the outliner more modable so that if we only want certain (and not all) armies/navies/provinces/cots shown
- Have two sets of message options, one default and one for tagged nations. For example I could chose not to have a popup when a ruler dies, but have a popup show when tagged nations' rulers die. Then you would obviously tag your neighbours and other ones you are intersted in. I think Vicky2 has something like this.

Just my 2 ducats :)

Given the new Trade system with Nodes the trade flow between nodes would have to be calculated somewhere in the code which should make the following possible. I would like to see the Black sea Trade and Sound Toll modifiers changed. instead of giving a fixed % to global trade income modifier i think they should provide income based on the actual trade flowing through said strait. For the Sound Toll this should also give a small negative relations modifier to nations in the baltic and a larger to sweden (if not in a union). Depending on exactly node areas and how trade will function this will i believe give Denmark a larger incentive to get trade to flow into the baltic benifitting the other nations aswell. This would also make the taxation on straits function "right" instead of some modifier no one has any relation to.

I'd like to see some sort of visible dynastic system, but I won't. It doesn't have to be like CK II's, being as this game is based around countries and not individuals, but something abstracted that still does the job would be great.

id like to see the political mapmode and the terrain mapmode combined maybe using translucant colours..... i hate how in every game i never really get to see the visuals as im stuck in the only useable mode political........ find a way of making terrain mapmode useable maybe by giving us a political minimap that can be zoomed so we can stay in terrain mapmode
