Mainly, all I want in Divine wind is a fix to the single player/multiplayer adviser tab giving the player 1 month from the time when they are released for the player to pick them up out of free agency before the CPU is allowed to cheat and sign them before you even get a chance to.

Otherwise, I would like a good dose of Chinese and Japanese Civil war, as well as civil war with a lot of other Asian countries as well! It would seem very fun! ^^

Maybe an event editor as well.

4. More missions please

Agreed.

5. More diplomatic interactions - be able to have more influence on vassals and PU
6. Ability to create fictional (or modern) new countries

Don't we already have that? Kurdistan and Baluchistan and Scandinavia and Germany (didn't exist as a nation in the time period) could be nations.

7. Create Wonders of the World (Civ style) - unique benefits

Could be worth it.

8. Fatigue/Fortification system - units that continue to move will tire, units that hunker down gets a def. bonus

Could be interesting but it would probably be hard to teach the AI to use it properly. I would suggest adding "forced march" allowing you to reach one province a little bit faster at the cost of making your troops much more tired.

9. Supply lines - units shouldn't automatically be reinforced unless it's possible to trace a supply line back to own territory (i.e. where the available manpower physically is). And the further you're away the fewer troops you get.

Wouldn't slow down play with all that calculating and recalculating of supply lines? Could we teach the AI to use it effectively?

In the period depicted in the game the troops were mostly expected to live off the land. They occasionally got supply from afar but that was with war material that was difficult to get locally, money and new troops. Not stuff like food, clothes or horses.

10. Experience (bonus) system for units for winning battles (which will go away over time)

The added fun would not be worth the added complexity.

11. Blockade running

Could be fun, could be boring micromanagement.

Could be worth it.

Yes and no. What I have in mind is *new* combinations of provinces that would constitute a new country. E.g. Alpine Nation based on part-French/Swiss/Austrian/Italian provinces, or a Baltic nation made up of Lithuania, Latvia & Estonia. The idea behind this is to be able to create a new nation that is spread across existing/historical boundaries - great for creating vassals as buffers

Yes, good alternative

Wouldn't slow down play with all that calculating and recalculating of supply lines? Could we teach the AI to use it effectively?

The attrition reflects foraging, which is basically food, water, medical supplies etc. But the actual reinforcements are coming from the home nation, which is the available manpower pool. These troops needs to be shipped to the front lines, why it would be more realistic, and complex, to work with supply lines. E.g. sending reinforcements to a Swedish army in Egypt is much more difficult (and costly) than sending the same troops to Lübeck. It would limit overseas, far-flung crusades, as these armies would eventually be worn down.

The added fun would not be worth the added complexity.

Could be fun, could be boring micromanagement.

Dag Stålhandske

Again it would better reflect reality. The fact that England has 5 ships in the English Channel doesn't mean that a small fleet couldn't slip past them. The ocean is a big place, and automatic interceptions are a huge advantage to dominant sea powers. Look at WWII, despite the technology available, the British were rarely able to spot, track and intercept German naval units (e.g. Bismarck, Tirpitz, surface raiders) in the North Sea, unless these were seeking to engage the enemy. So if you order a fleet to move through a sea area, which contains enemy ships, it should be a % change of interceptions not automatic.

Agreed on the ship thing. Also, small ships like frigates should give a bonus to interception chance and a fleet of purely small ships should have an easier time avoiding enemies.

Ok, here is what I want:

1) More improvement in the Americas, India and SE Asia, and not just the Americas.
2) More nation-specific gameplay elements, but all across the world
3) The ability to form Greece and India, but only late-game.
4) A major reform of the provinces in the Balkans.

Extra major reforms on Indonesia and the Philippines!
Because Europeans didn't colonize the Indies, they conquered it.

Oh and provinces in Northern Australia, at least the tropical parts of the continent. I'd love to see some uber-epic alhistorical Chinese colonization of Australia :D

Kind of surprised that PI hasn't added minority or %'s to cultures and religions yet. Always get tossed around here and certainly would add to gameplay when not at war. Need something to spend these massive ducat reserves on.

Really want something to make late game more interesting with real empire breaking events, particularly if there is to be a port to V2. 1800 should have 1500 'Reformation' style forced chaos for colonies in the Americas.

I would like to see interface improvements.

The province decision page on the ledger is a nightmare when one has a large empire. There has to be a better way to sort it, or at least get the same decisions in the same column.

In most Paradox games, the log is almost always stuck on the oldest entry. I want to see the newest entries! It seems there are two main problems:
  1. The log defaults to scrolling to the top, which is the oldest entry.
  2. Using the mouse wheel to zoom the map can catch the log and scroll it up.

Also, an annoying "feature" in HttT is that when there are a large number of pop-up windows, hitting enter sometimes closes windows at the bottom of the stack. The one has to search through the log to find out what he missed. Hitting enter should always confirm the top window.

I would love to see a papacy/hre equivalent for sunni factions, ie. a caliphate. Perhaps closer to the hre model than the papacy, simply for the extra diplomatic options and benefits to the caliph/emperor.

I'd like to see the entire Iranian region beefed up, currently Persia doesn't have nearly enough strength. Also, most of it should be Sunni historically at the start, but maybe Persia should get some sort of Safavid decision to become Shi'ite which gives it a small missionary/conversion chance increase?

You should have minus to research. Seriously, wahabbies consider innovation in religion abhorrent and since religion is meant to permeate society it is definitely not a progressive religion.

Still, I do not think treating wahabbism as a separate religion is warranted. Granted, it is clearly different from other forms of Sunni Islam. However, given that the game does not have hussitism, nestorianism or puritanism as separate religions I do not think we should have wahabbi either. I mean, game does not even have different froms of Buddhism.
