What will happen to EUII?

Nah, I'm already having less and less time online, and I ain't going to have more of it in the foreseeable future. Busy life.

Hey, don't worry, Carolus. I for one will never abandon my first love*. EUII is what got me into P'dox games, and I will never abandon it, both for sentimental reasons, and because it is just so addicting a game. Even if everybody else quits playing EUII and quits posting in this forum, I'll still be here, so you'll still have (some) moderating to do.

* I am talking about the game.

What happens to EU2 will depend on EU3 itself. If the game is terrible, people will stay here. I really doubt that will happen, though...Paradox's track record IS buggy games out of the box, but also a strong devotion to patching and improving their games. Even if EU3 is unplayable when released, I have no doubt that within a year it will be lightyears ahead of EU2 in every way that matters.

EUII's place in history is secure. It will go down as one of the greatest computer strat games of all time. Up to that time.

EU2 is the single most great game I have ever played in my life. It's my best buy I have ever done. No need to tell anymore. Thank you for EU2 Paradox. Looking forward for future games!

I still play Alpha Centauri, Civ 3, Age of Empires 2, Close combat 2 and if my experience says anything, EU II will still maintain a relatively small, albeit strong core of gamers.

I play those games too! Ok, I haven't played Close Combat 2 in a while, but Alpha Centauri is still brilliant!

I won't say I'll keep on playing EU2 as much as I do now, but I can say for sure I'll be checking in on it from time to time. I just hope EU3 will satistfy my expectations which, after EU2, are pretty damn high!

You know, I kinda agree with you there. I've played alot of games, many of them good, but there's just a few games which I keep coming back to and that I value for their brilliance. EU2, C&C, CM/FM-series, Alpha Centauri, AoE2 (III didn't really get me that hooked), and a few others.
