Start as Germany, then ignore surface fleet buildup entirely in favor of U-boats, concentrate my production of tanks and aircraft to the smallest practical number instead of spreading it across thirty different types, ignoring strategic bombers in favor of loading up on CAS and tactical bombers, and mechanizing my army into panzergrenadier divisions with organic armor support as soon as possible.
First one will be Japan with an Expand North strategy.
Second will be fascist Netherlands trying to gobble up some more colonial space and reasserting dominion over Belgium.

I'm affraid they ahve comfirned there will be no demo. Instead they suggest you buy it, then if you don't like it return it with steam's return policy.

Germany: Danzig before Czechoslovakia. Rush Anschluss to get it in 37 (It's an extra 3 provinces to use). Claim Slovenia/Yugoslavia to get access to the Mediterranean as Germany, to charge straight for Suez at World War's beginning.

Joke aside, I'm really interested in playing a "peaceful" Germany, befriending Poland and Denmark (sadly the screenshot from the focus tree cuts off below that) and probably China instead of Japan. Who knows, maybe without historical focus, I'll end up fighting alongside Britain against the USSR. Either way, peace and prosperity in Europe! (here is me hoping France goes red, because RED = DEAD and Lothringen is mine!)

Strangely, I do think that would make an interesting AAR. The problem is, you'd need one hell of a super beefy USSR to make things interesting, as presumably most of Europe would be fighting together against her.
I'd definitely be interested in seeing that, though. In the hands of the player, it must be possible to avoid a world war as Germany, as you simply avoid taking the steps that Hitler did historically. I love the idea of a game in which you don't even re-enter the Rhineland.

Get back danzig peacefully (Danzig for Slovakia) from Poland and befriend them. After that protecting europe from the Red Menace. France and the UK are our friends and arent going to be touched.

I think it would be hard to justify not retaking the Rhineland, after all, you are still playing as a Facist dictatorship. The biggest issue that I see with the current German focus tree is that most of your political options depend on the Anschluss, which might make sense in terms of southern European politics, but not concerning Czechoslowakia or Poland. There is also no way to go after France for their "German" territories, or a revokation of the Treaty of Versailles.Strangely, I do think that would make an interesting AAR. Yeah, that is weird and I did mention it another thread. It should definitely be possible to defeat France, annex Alsace-Lorraine (and Luxembourg if you conquer it as well) and then make peace.
I'm going with China and hopefully holding off the Japenese. If I can beat them then its on to Asian dominance.

Recreating the Spanish Empire either as Republican (Glorious "Protectorates" in South America) or Nationalist Spain (straight up conquest). The US won't stand a chance!
