I'm playing a fun game as a Saxon England, but every single time I get a new king, factions revolt. At first, it wasn't so bad. One or two duchies would leave and I'd bash them into submission. Now, though, all of my lands are revolting at once, and now I've had the same duke revolt twice in one year. This seems downright unfair, and I absolutely hate how they instantly get extra soldiers as a buff when I outnumber them.
Anyways, now I have two factions formed. I tried to make people happy, so I cut down my land to the maximum number of holdings I could have, which was 7. THen, my regent changed and it went down to 5, so the rage from nobles who think I have too much land came back and there's no way I'm getting rid of MORE land than I already have for a temporary issue. The main issue they have with me, too, seems to be that I hold too many duchies, which makes no sense; I hold 3, but I hold all the land for all the duchies anyways, so how can I hold too many?
As a child ruler with a 5-holding limit, there's nothing I can do, it seems. I'm stuck. They'll keep revolting until I'm out of the throne, and there's nothing I can do about it. If I cheat, recruit every mercenary group possible, and get a bunch of money, I'll still lose because there's no way I can match them once "bandits" join them, because they'll instantly siege all my land into submission one by one, and with 7 holdings, it wouldn't take very long.

The game itself has pushed me into a corner, and I can't get out of it because I instantly started off being at odds with all the nobles in my lands despite doing nothing against them. Factions formed instantly when I had zero dangerous factions with my previous monarch. I had 100 relations with some dukes who I now have almost -100 relations with. How can I even get out of this issue? I had perfectly managed relations beforehand so that there would be no revolts, and after nearly 70 years of peace, suddenly nobles get mad and want to revolt constantly? It makes no sense.

Is there a way to cut out the faction system from my game? Is there a line of code I can delete to neuter it? If so, please tell me. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do when all of my land is revolting. There's no way to fight it and it's simply stupid.

First off: Bribe, bribe and bribe more. Always keep a few thousands, preferably more in reserve, at least as soon as you start having a decent income. And breed diplomacy into your line. Stewardship is for early game, where your personal demesne is important, while diplomacy becomes the most important stat in the game later on.

As a king you can only hold two duchy titles, no more, otherwise you suffer penalties. On top of that you hold more provinces than your demesne limit, which is another relations-hit. Lastly you are a new king in a regency, which means that you may have lost around 40 relations (from long reign bonus to long reign penalty). And of course your old ruler had a lot of prestige, which added to his stuff too. Also if your old king had a high diplomacy (and his wife had a decent diplomacy) and your regent is horrible, that can easily be another large penalty. And of course traits got an influence too, so if your old king was known as a kind and just ruler, while his successor is a cruel and arbitrary little monster, that is another -40.

First off start out getting rid of some of your counties in the duchy you will give to someone else. Each county is +40 relations with that character and should make them much less interested in rebelling. After that grant the duchy in question to another unhappy person, which should improve relations with +60. Give out some honourary titles to satisfy others.

If you do not mind cheating and your regent is horrible with low diplomacy, use the console to kill him. You will then get another regent, one who may or may not have higher diplomacy, preferably our chancellor.

With bribes and handing out titles, you should hopefully be able to satisfy your people enough. so they feel less inclined to rebel against you. As time passes, your kingdom stabilizes, you get a high diplomacy, marry a high diplomacy wife and use a few well-placed bribes, you should be able to start to do plots to revoke the lands that you handed out, as you still got claims. Or simply replace those titles by taking counties up to your demesne limit, when some commits a crime and you have a reason to imprison without becoming a tyrant.

I'll try to crush the rebellions as much as possible and cut down my demesne. However, are factions really supposed to rebel this often? Sometimes I'll get lucky and have a "Pax Britannia" or whatever you want to call it, but then with some kings, I get faction revolts multiple times per year until just about every duke is imprisoned and rotting in jail. It gets on my nerves and I want to know if I've done something wrong.
