I just finished taking Japan off of Korea, and I just finished off Tibet...

so with a healthy 180IC, China is unified by 7/39. SO while Germany is playing dolls with Poland, Russia is playing footies with Finland, I am kicking the Japs off of the Asian mainland...

the question...

with roughly 300 divs, what to do next?

Ally with the Soviets and while they conquer Europe, I can go after India/Middle East

Or do I be a jerk, and ally Germans and take out the Soviets, and the Japanese just cause I can...

Or do I be a royal pain the butt and do a 'Karpov Doctrine' Chinese style..

I managed it once, before Doomsday came out and ruined everything with its new low, low Infra settings and competant AI. I defeated Japan in '38 and started building infrastructure everywhere. In '40, with infra being built in every province, I started working on my IC. By '47, my IC was into the 300s and I had 100% everywhere, even in Tibet and the Taklamakan. I had serious resource problems, but mib's CCIP mod helped out a bit, and I just traded for the rest.

I never really re-armed or anything, and I let the USSR and Germany beat each other to death right up until the end of the game. No second front opened (at least not in the Far West), Germany drove even deeper than they did historically, and the Soviets were unable to repel them. The war stalemated, and all the while I was thinking: I could have eaten Russia so easily.

They had, in fact, DoWd me in April '41 - for no apparent reason other than racism and jealousy - forcing me to commit my '36 Infantry and Cavalry in an effort to defend myself, take my cores from them, and get out to leave them to Germany. Well, of course, they never offered me a reasonable peace (or any peace) despite my not being in an alliance. Our war went on for about a year, which gave Germany one hell of a boost. Maybe if Stalin hadn't been so nuts, he could have won the war in the West and gone after me later. Instead, attacking me doomed his nation to perpetual 100 IC status. I took pity on the poor round-eyes devils and cheated my cores away in exchange for peace. I could have kept going to the Urals, but I didn't want to. Inward Perfection, and all.

It was pretty cool to defeat the Soviets in an undesired offensive war with badly outdated troops, all while not producing or upgrading anything, given my focus on my economy. Bastards almost set back my modernization process!

Well, Doomsday gives you 6 more years doesn't it? Plenty of time to build up infra and IC... As for resources, go conquer Malaya or something. Liberate Singapore!

EDIT again: I did take Indochina as a puppet state, but that was event-driven and it practically fell into my lap. Siam became an ally too. But would I fight a war and sacrifice my people (and my resource trade) to free Burma or Malaya? Nah....

Well, liberate Malaya on behalf of its 25% Chinese population and Singapore on behalf of its 75% Chinese population... And get some 30 rares per day while you're at it.

I liked that idea of allying with Germany, and then taking out All of Russia and Europe, and turning it a neat sickly yellow..lol

100% Infra huh......boy, who to conquer first, decisions, decisions..first of all, make Japan my bi@tch... then get to the real plan...

How about the US....and conquer Europe from the Atlantic.. does that sound like a plan to anybody..
