Another question yet around successions. It's a bit complicated.

My uncle is the King of Hungary. He is married matrilineally to the heir to the Kingdom of England (not my dynasty). The King is old and only has daughters. So she is definitely going to inherit.

These two have two sons. They are both married matrilineally to my sisters. The older pair have no children (it's a bit worrying because they're in their 20s already). The younger pair have a daughter who is from my dynasty. Yes, a lot of inbreeding going on. My cousins are married to my sisters. So they're basically cousins.

The ultimate goal is to place someone from my dynasty on the throne of England and bring it in as a vassal. Right now, the only candidate is that daughter from the younger pair.

When should I try to go to war and should I assassinate the current king of England to keep things moving. Keep in mind also that the older son is the heir to the Kingdom of Hungary. Ideally, I don't want someone to have both the Kingdoms.

What do you think I should do now? It's making my head hurt thinking about the possibilities.

If you want the english land but not its crown you might have a problem.
unless you choose to inherit the english crown and then destroy the title and put your family in charge of the lands.

unless you are an emperor you cant have king tier vassals.

In somewhat related news murdering everyone is ALWAYS the best solution.

As Mutineer asks, what are the succession laws of each kingdom?

And also, I understand that you just want the crown of England in your dynasty, rather than under your control.

It seems that you don't have to do anything to get your dynasty on the throne as your sisters will inherit, assuming that England is Ag-Primo (making that assumption because it has a Queen already). Like you say, you could move it along a bit but why bother when it's inevitable?

I am an Emperor. I want King of England to be a vassal.
I didn't think the crown laws matter. What I'm more looking for is the precise time to launch an attack on England so that it becomes a vassal. I think this can only happen when with that daughter.

Succession laws are matter. If kingdom have elective, then second generation rarelly inherit, practically never. No one like foriners. If law is seniority, even more true.

Under gavekin, some times new monarch is soo week and yang, he even loosing crown to plot with out ony figth.

Well it's too late now. The old King of England died and his daughter became Queen. My non-dynasty nephew also became King of Hungary. I plotted to assassinate her and after she died, he became King of England and Hungary and England came into my Empire as a vassal which was what I wanted. Now that nephew is dead (by a plot) leaving a young son as heir to both Kingdoms who is from my dynasty. Even if he dies, the heir is my non-dynastic other nephew but ultimately his sons are also from my dynasty so goal achieved.

That was complicated. Really all this should've happened without the assassination. But at least, no wars were involved.

If you don't do anything, both kingdoms will most likely go to the oldest daughter.

If you kill the English monarch, then the Hungarian king's wife (i. e. the new English queen) the older daughter will be queen and the younger will get a strong claim. If you then kill the younger daughter her daughter will end up with a weak claim.
I'm not sure if you would be able to press the younger daughter's daughter's claim right away. I think you either need a male claimant or an already ongoing succession war.
All of this is tricky and depends on luck. If I were you I'd wait for a son to be born to one of the daughters.
