Go to bed early and get up late. That`s 10 hours you don`t have to actively wait. :D

Plus you are rested for the gaming overkill.

Laying in bed for 10 hours would be torture for me... I rarely sleep more than 4 hours at a time as is!

Try to get caught up on Netflix/Prime/Streaming Platform of Choice (Yes, caught up is a Sisyphean prospect, but you'll probably slip further behind after today!)

Read Battletech Sourcebooks/fiction?

Play another game you've yet to beat.

Step outside for the last time in the near future, smell the roses, say melancholic goodbyes to the outside world.

Related to the last point, go out to dinner with friends you will soon be neglecting. Say melancholic goodbyes as you prepare to leave and fight for the Restoration.

Cook up a large amount of food, so you'll have leftovers aplenty!

Go grocery shopping for necessary long term gaming supplies.

Drink.

Take a long, long walk or bikeride to get that last bit of exercise.

Any necessary errands for the next week or two, to make sure there is more time.

Catch up on your Things Skippy Mustn't do list reading.

Deal with your enemies lest they ambush you at your most vulnerable.

Enjoy the Sun for a final time (Or Moon if you're of a more Vampiric persuasion)

I have written a long good bye to my parents and immediate family that I wont be able to talk with them for quite some time. And I have prepared all my course assignments ahead of time, asking my various professors if I could study ahead and turn in my papers. So I can take a few days of hibernation away from the world and just dedicate myself to my game...oh and I already prepared lunches and dinners and put them in my fridge.

I really tried to like mechcommander, but it felt like ordering ants into battle that you could barely see and may have had some sort of energy weapons. Was really disappointed by it.

I do agree that the mechs are rather small. I think that is just a side effect of it's RTS-light sort of nature. You can zoom in and make them bigger, but then you can't see anything else around you lol.

Overall though, MechCommander is one of my favorite games in the BattleTech franchise library. For myself, It is always a joy to play.

Everyone's tastes are different.
