Just thought I would collect some ideas on things that could be improved.

1.) I would like to see a button or shortcut that orders all selected fleets to dock with the starbase of their current system or have fleets automatically dock at nearby stations.

Only docked fleets gain bonuses from the starbase and can be repaired. Sending a fleet to the middle of a system just doesn't work.
If there already is a fleet near the starbase, it becomes very difficult to get the fleet you are controling to dock there.

2.) I would like to see an option to disable a starbase's shipyards. When you build a large number of ships, the game will often quer them at all your shipyards.
But the moment a new ship spawns in but there is an enemy fleet blocking the path between shipyard and its parent fleet, the ship just spawns at the shipyard and no longer feels the need to link up with its parent fleet.

Sometimes you are using a juggernaut and you want only the Juggernaut to be building the new ships.

You end up with a bunch of singular ships that you now have to manually merge which is annoying to say the least because you have no idea what fleets they belong to. Often times I just end up disbanding them all and build new ships.

Feel free to post your own ideas too!

Having some sort of preset for the people in your empire. Instead of having Togo into each species and manly set them. Also ability to rate jobs, its annoying needing a farmer and getting a cleark or a miner. Then having Togo in jobs and shut them down then you forget to reopen them tc.

Also would like to see more going at the federation level ie being able to negotiate research packs and defence packs between other federation as a whole. Or able to place sanctions in that be cool tc

I just want more customisation of starbases as a whole, like putting loads of shields on it when fighting the Unbidden or stripping it of Gauss cannons when fighting the Prethoryn. We should also be able to put large weapons on it, one large mount per module slot. While far from necessary I think it would be neat if they made a 3rd defense platform size in between normals and Ion Cannons, these would take up two slots and would be mounted with one X mount, however they would only have 1.5X the health and 3 Large health type slots, so they aren't literally twice as powerful as normal platforms, eliminating the use of them (unless you think they should).

I’ve made these suggestions before, but I still find managing resettlement an absolute chore on console:

Resettlement Screen - Colony List

Filter - maybe using R1/L1 (PS4) - with a setting that allows the player to put either colony list in order of highest available jobs or highest unemployment.

As the thumb sticks aren’t being used, could they perhaps control highlighting a column each? If so, you could have a control scheme that allows the quick transfer of unemployed pops to the highlighted colony in the opposite column.

Resettlement Screen - Pop List

When in the pop list, being able to adjust the order so unemployed pops were at the top would save a lot of time (Square on PS4?).

Additionally, the ability to highlight multiple pops in a list and then transfer them in one button press (similar to how you merge fleets) and/or have a button that automatically transfers as many unemployed pops from one colony list as there are jobs available in the other colony in the opposite list.

These are all decent, but in terms of those menus, what I really want is to be able to manually move each colony to the order you want it in, similar to how you can move the categories in the side bar on the right. I also think that when you press BACK/MAP (the button to cycle colonies), they should cycle based on the order of your colonies in the resettlement screen.

I really like the direction that the game is going. One thing that I personally think would be a good idea would be that sectors would build their own defensive fleets. But so that the AI doesn't run your empire into the ground. Make it so that you can dedicate X amount of ships to a particular sector. And it would take away from you overall naval capacity. You could add this option into the Cosmography tab. The sector idea is to make a part of your empire self sufficient. Well building ships and protecting itself is all part of that. This also would increase the management aspect and would give more reason to get the leaders that have naval based and ship abilities. If you think good idea or not please leave a reply letting me know what you all think.
