I'm playing the USA, it's 1943 and the war is just about over. I have taken all of Germany, except Berlin, I've annexed Finland, one province left of Sweeden, I followed the Germans into Russia - all the way to Moskva and Stalingrad. I am not allied with the Soviets, but now they are just walking into my provinces and taking them. What's up with that?
Out of gas tanks don't go very far.
I suppose my only out is to DOW on the USSR and take the 40 point dissent hit? Of course, there are 690 Russian divisions.
I assume this will stop when they have retaken all of the motherland?
