I play the US or UK and things are fine and all of a sudden my production goes from good to none at all. It shows Partisan effect -82.5%?! WTF?! I am getting revolts in THE US for pete's sake! Is this a bug? How can I fix this stupid bug/feature?
Keep an eye on your dissent level. It's one of the cornerstones of the game - it directly affects your production and if it gets high enough, can generate revolts.
Some things that can raise dissent level include :
- smear campaigns by other countries - 2% dissent with no notification
- not producing enough consumer goods
- running out of supplies
- some events (both scheduled and random)
- some diplomatic actions that you take, depending on your slider settings.
You can lower dissent by raising production of consumer goods. (some events also lower dissent)
If you find your dissent level is high, you can cheat to reduce it to zero. Press F12, then type 'event 1009'. This will bring up an event that reduces your dissent by 3 each time.
