But now that i attained the imperial crown, while i wait for the crusades, i wonder where to try to expand next, or what to strive for in general.

That is a really gross Francia. Seems like the Khazars are the new mongols for the 8th-12th century.

Break up Francia into single kingdoms and appoint your dynasty to head each one.
