What role should nationalism play?

Reading this I just realised that over the course of the time period that Victoria covers, the influence of religion recedes while nationalism surges - at least in Europe.

How will this be modelled, I ask?

etnicity will play the role that religion did in EU2 - just even more so, meaning that provinces with different etnicity that the nations will be more prone to unreast. but thats just my guess...

Well that third screen shot showed that there are different interest groups and ideologies in a nation so I guess nationalism looks to be represented by things like conservative ideology and pro military support in the population etc.

How these percentages of the population supporting these ideas actually affects game play I have no idea however.
