I'm getting concerned by the lack of PvP activity lately. We all know the frustration of noob stomping or being the one who gets stomped. It's either one or the other and I'm starting to lose interest in playing there just aren't any close matches anymore. The discord has been noticeably empty lately. Anybody have any ideas?

There are three open tournaments courently where you should be able to get a good fight. All three use a different mechanism to make people fight outside their comfort zone. As such they will probably have a leveling effect on skill disparities and may be worth your time to check out.

Have not been able to play multi player since week 3 after release. Can never connect anymore..
Tried reinstalling and all the suggestion I have found on the forums and no luck. Guess they will fix it in a few years.

If the next patch doesn't have major updates for multiplayer I'm gonna be pretty miffed. I shouldn't have to work my schedule around just to line up a match in player-made tournaments. I mean for God sakes the map names are still all "undefined" in the lobby lists. I mean am I being impatient? This entire subforum feels ignored.

Perhaps HBS will change theyre minds like they did with extra wide resolution support? I mean it doesnt make sense to me that they would completely drop a competitive PvP after they promised it in the kickstarter. What happened to all things in success? At least give a statement so people dont get discouraged. Pleasant surprises are awesome but the lack of communication from HBS since the acquisition is disturbing if im observing things correctly.

Please consider: Expressing one's criticism or opinion in a respectful manner is appreciated as it helps inform the entities of community interests as they make decisions going forward, even when the respectfully phrased criticism or opinion reflects an unhappy feeling. As I have already pointed out the game several times I bought for multiplayer PvP.
the game should be based on fully-equipped PvP Solaris 7.

So it would be a big part of the community to hear if something is going to be done with the multiplayer PvP.
Or add only content to your campaign in the campaign by 2020.

Good @FLOYD_CZ, we do indeed have word of BATTLETECH Multi-player game experience development. :bow:

Most promising is the work our Modding Community, notably @CWolfs (https://github.com/CWolfs) is doing to reduce PvP Disconnects, as well as adding 3/3/3/3 and 4/4/4/4 MechWarriors, etc to our Tournament, Skirmish and even Mods for Solo-Campaign BATTLETECH game experiences.

Most importantly to me, HBS_Kiva noted that Connor (aka HBS_CaptKerbero) is working on a Multi-player arena that is so large it takes up nearly the entire surface of that particular Mapsheet. We do not know which free update or expansion it might "make the cut-line" for, but it is evidently in the works. : )


So HBS is indeed working to improve the BATTLETECH multi-player game experience, just as they told us they would in BATTLETECH Kickstarter Update 47.

Though I do hope further HBS development soon sees a reduction in the number of disconnects (both Lobby-to-Match and Mid-Match) experienced by BATTLETECH Multi-Player gamers. That more than just about anything else would help our current BATTLETECH Community to see continued even increased growth and vitality! :bow:
