What purpose is Religious Opinion to muslims?

Maybe being Hajji, the technology religious customs, and the 'improve church opinion' events should improve relations with nobles (iqta). Even the caliph doesn't care about my 'church opinion' modifiers. Is there any purpose to the religious customs tech for muslims?

I think they improve relations with theocratic rulers. Does it not work that way for Muslims?

Maybe it would, but muslims don't have any. Their bishoprics are just a different type of noble holding. Walis of mosques do get a bonus from noble opinion (i.e. from noble customs).

Also, observing ramadan gives a bonus to church opinion.

This seems like such a huge oversight that I'm not putting it in bug reports but asking the community if they know what that church opinion bonus does for muslims. It can't possibly do nothing, can it?
