IIRC in terms of income and taxing the splits are :

Rich : aristo and capi

Middle : officer, clerk, clergy

Low : soldier, labourer, farmer, craftsman

slaves

while in terms of voting rights :

Landed : aristos, clergy, officers

wealth : add capitalists, clerks

suffrage : add soldiers, labourers, farmers, craftmen

seconded OHg - btw there is a roll-over hint both for the income strata and the voting rights.

concering the distribution of the wealth, my guess is, that each POP earns the same share. then a mulitiplier is factored in depending on the strata of the pop (IIRC i read *1/*5/*25 some time ago). then taxes have to be payed and of course goods consumed and tariffs payed. the rest is going into savings.
