how much of them do u use??
iknow that tey give bonus to factories output and so on.
but is it wise to use more capitalist than clerks/craftsmen??

and another question is:
do u really use farmers/laborers??
i do nearly ever covert all my farmers/laborers to clerks/crafsmen and import recources they produce.
i think its more important to have more folks in factories than in RGOs.

I rarely ever use capitalists (for personal reasons), so I can't help you with that.

However, regarding farmers/labourers, yes, you should convert most farmers/labourers working in low-need, low-profit RGO's such as Grain, Tea, fruit, wool, etc; while you should absolutely never take POPs away from sulfur. Silk, precious metal, iron, coal and timber RGO's are other ones that you should usually keep well-staffed, as well as cotton if you are heavily reliant on the clothing production chain.

One thing to note, however, is that non-national capitalists have as much effect as national ones; something to keep in mind when deciding which POPs to promote, and which to keep as clerks (or craftsmen).

yeah but as i have noticed in ma last Swiss game, at the and oft the GC u got alot og emigration...small groups of plp. so converting tham into capitalist dont hurt as i still get the factory efficiencies bonus through non state culture capitalist and have alot of money to spend.
And as i noticed they hardly ever emigrate in comparison with lower PoPs.

The exact production formula can be found at Rafiki's Camp Victoria, and thereby probably also at WikiVicky.

Not if they are good RGOs like Iron, coal, timber and sulphur.

the bonus of capitalist can understand as simple as about 10% more output for each 100.000 capitalist, no extra input. So if you have a 50.000 clerks to promote, you will get 5% more output for all the factories in the state but lose the working clerk.

In that case it makes sense to have one capitalist for every ten workers.

I think you're right for factory output. But capitalists also get taxed at 5 times the rate of clerks and 25 times the rate of craftsmen, so somehow that should also be taken into account when determining the proper ratio.

I hadn't thought of that. Still, I'd be inclined not to make much more than one capitalist for every ten workers, as you might need those workers some day.

I think it depends on what you are producing in the province. If it's luxury goods then you want a higher ratio of workers than if you're producing regular goods. With luxury goods you want to maximize production, with regular goods you could go for higher taxes (if you think you are producing enough of that good).

Yeah- but regular goods tend to be things you'll use up, such as steel and particularly military products. You may find that you want to maximise production for a limited period.

If you wanna see how good capitalists are. Play as China and promote 6 groups of 90,000 farmers are the same time in a state that has 9 level 3 minimum size factories and you'll see a monstrous increase in productivity.

I don't know that the fact that the capitalists are taxable at 25x the rate of the craftsmen really makes any difference in terms of total income. If I understand the process correctly, the way it's supposed to work in the game is that the total income of all the production in the country is simply divided up among each citizen; rich pops get a 25x share, middle a 5x share, and poor just 1 share. So if I've got this correct, by promoting a capitalist you would be creating one very wealthy pop, but only by making each of your working pops a little poorer (how delightfully capitalist!). Assuming that you tax all your pops at the same rate, that doesn't make any difference in your national income. Too lazy to do real math, and I may have the system wrong if they've revamped since I got mad at my computer and put a hiatus on Vicky. But really, I think you'd just be redistributing wealth, not creating it. To create any wealth, you would actually have to do some math and find out whether it is more efficient to add one more worker or get the total bonus from the capitalists. As to that, I would say that the more workers you have, the more good the capitalists do you; in addition, you don't have to pay/wait for expansion of the factory to get some capitalists.
