1. Infamy accrued for giving provinces to allies in peace deals.

When I take command of a war started with a valid CB by an ally, that CB is not taken into account when determining the cost and infamy charge for taking the provinces. In addition, rather than charging the account of the nation receiving the provinces, the peace broker is given infamy!

This clearly needs to be rectified.

I can see why the overlord should take the infamy hit if the ally is also his vassal, but just an ally? No. Just no.

2. WASD

Am I the only one missing WASD or arrow keys used to scroll the map? I will admit it's a Total War habit, but I think it would be a stellar addition to Paradox titles aswell.

Who's with me? Come on. Don't be shy. The worst they can do is siteban you for speaking up.

Well I don't think they'd ban you lol. PI has been built off of the suggestions of its customers. The developers here work very closely with users. They're not the Creative Assembly after all.

But yeah, I can't see why WASD scrolling would hurt at all. One problem I have with the CB system is if I declare war on a country to get another country to fight me, I don't get a CB on that third country in the peace screen. I know this is probably working as intended because that's kind of a gamey move anyway but meh. It would be nice if all members of the alliance shared the CB.

They might. Never know what side of the bed they woke up on this morning, do you? :p

Yeah. The entire idea of the HT3 (HTTT? I really haven't gotten comfortable with the acronyms yet) CB system was that you should fight a war with a given objective and not use a generic CB for all your god given goals.

It just strikes me as blatantly retarded that the player enforcing the peace should have to take the infamy hit rather than the nation actually annexing the provinces.

I agree, though it should give the player 1 BB to prevent abuse.

IMO the biggest problem with HTTT is how common regency councils are.

Pfft. I can live with the odd regency council. It's annoying to not be able to declare war at will, but it slows down expansion. :D

I could actually live with not being able to declare war without a CB, period, but that wouldn't be very realistic.

More than one child in each generation of a dynasty would be great. It should be far more common to have a brother as the legal heir when a ruler's child is an infant.

Or how about the brother as Regent under certain government types. He is a 'named' Regent (as opposed to Regency council) and can still form Royal Marriages and declare war but will step down once the child reaches his majority.

I wish you could use an existing CB on a nation that joins a war against you.

I agree. The CB goals are a decent idea all around (for gameplay and to prevent crazy abuse), but they need to be better or more fully incorporated across the board in different war scenarios.

Let's say I have several Reconquest CBs against several countries in eastern Europe. If I go to war with Poland (using a "reconquest" CB against their ("my") lands), and Bohemia defends them (whom I also have a "reconquest" CB against), I should be able to claim the specific "reconquest" lands from both Poland and Bohemia during peace deals. As it stands, I can only get the credit (no infamy) for Poland. I realize this defeats the "war aims/goals" of the system, but this is in fact a criticism I have of the system. You wouldn't just say, "Oh, well, Bohemia, you see I have claims to your land, but since I never pressed a button to say that was my goal, I guess I can't actually claim that land now... so fortunately for you I have to wait 5 years and then press a button to say that, yes, now I officially claim those lands"). If it is indeed a legitimate claim to the lands, I should have legitimate claims to the lands, regardless of how the war began.

Given that I only play Empire, I think it's a reasonable mistake to make. But thanks for the clarification. :D

Regardless, WASD is a very intuitive setup to use.

my biggest beef is with the spoils of war when you're a junior partner in a coalition, you should get something for your effort or at least have the ability to continue the war on your own!
