Creating Jerusalem gives me a 0 legitimacy ruler. Nearly always, this results in a civil war. It also cost me my position as pope. Can we have some legitimacy as the ruler was our ruler before?

Upcoming webcast showing off new war and peace mechanics and building hype to incredible levels? When I'm saying major rework I'm talking about the fact that the peace code was pretty much torn out and rewritten from scratch (the old peace code was kind of a hopeless mess and the reason why there were so many bugs). Don't underestimate what a difference it is makes to able to negotiate for any province though.
That sounds bad, I'll look into it tomorrow.

I'm still terrified of this prospect and want to know:
When you say any province, do you mean ANY province? If England is allied to Brittany, and I declare war on them as Provence, and I 100% occupy their land, and I hold this despite England's blockades and landings for 5 years...
...can I potentially take never-occupied Wessex from not-warleader England in the peace deal?
Assuming they have fortifications there? i.e. England takes land in India but has no fortifications in the area. As an Indian nation I can still go after it and take it back? The AI will not negotiate for provinces unless you control some fortifications in the area (and can't be forced to via stabhit), so to demand land in England you have to invade the British Isles. You also can't demand provinces from allies of warleader unless you occupy them.
So no.
Please do this pleaaaaaaase!
Yes, I really can't figure what are the numbers now.Oh I remember one thing. The Support Rebels numbers seem to be messed up or it just doesn't work.

How wide an area does a fort effect? If England owns the entire Indina sub-continent, but only has a fort in, say, Ceylon, will I be able to demand, say, Nepal, or will I need to occupy Ceylon first? As an Indian nation you'll be able to negotiate for their Indian land if either
A) You have taken their forts in India
or
B) They have no forts in India
Similarly, if France attacks England and occupies Normandie, they can demand Normandie but not Wales.
Cool. That did seem like the most likely scenario. As an Indian nation you'll be able to negotiate for their Indian land if either
A) You have taken their forts in India
or
B) They have no forts in India

Peace system has received a major rework in 1.12 (it was detailed in one of the DDs) that also involved the fixing of pretty much every known issue with the peace screen.
