In WTT just added one alternative branch for Germany and expanded the industry a little. This is not a complete overhaul. Italy needs a huge overhaul, not just adding a new branch for other ideologies.
Bit disingenuous to label the German tree as barely changed, considering this is what it looked like beforehand (mind the doodles, found in a very old thread) see attached.

It's no different to saying that the British tree in MtG "only added a few new options to go down", whereas that also got a similar level of work done. Besides, the German tree has 2 different ideology branches (democratic and monarchist) so saying it's just one is also just wrong lol.

Italy will need a lot of work, but like pretty much all the other base game trees, a lot will stay the same and just be moved around.

There are certain things that did not change from the first tree even though at that time it was clearly deficient to be Germany as is the land part of the tree only has 3 approaches and without any kind of choice or the aerial part of the tree that should also have improved in a certain way aspects when they did the german rework

It is true that the industrial part greatly improved the base tree that was the most noticeable part of that change apart from inserting a totally alternative branch

My point is, a lot of what is currently in the Italian tree is most likely going to be present in the reworked tree too - it's just how Paradox reworks the base-game trees. France's is probably the largest deviation, followed by the US and Japan, but even they have elements of the old tree. Germany's has changed the least, but again, I think it's a bit disingenuous to say it got little work on it done, because even if comparing historical paths then Britain would be pretty much the same. I can see Italy getting a France-sized rework however, hopefully designed a bit better though :D

What I still do not understand that when the German rework was made, the part of the German ground army did not expand or touch anything when the main pillar of the German army was precisely the ground when it has many themes that you can implement in that part of the tree and they stayed with the same one that the original was already totally deficient unlike other trees have been made

Might just be because they considered it enough. Personally, I love the design of the German tree because it doesn't devolve into a 2 year military doctrine branch, like some of the other trees. I would like to see more of an integration with decisions and events regarding things like that though, but I think having a large military branch isn't always (if rarely) a good thing, imo.

Personally, I see it terribly deficient due to the country, which is when it could perfectly have a branch as large as the indrustial as some mods have for the German land army, it could have many aspects from which to pull as the power struggle between different sections in the same army .

My though is they're at the least going to do either either the USSR and Poland, both reworked (saving Finland for a Scandinavian country pack) or USSR and Finland (Saving Poland to be paired with Italy). At most, they'll do all three, I think that probably what's going to happen. I have a suspisicon that the Soviet tree is going to look like the LaR Spanish tree, with the Left being the communist and Right Opposition Branches (Communist and Democratic), with the Right being the White Emigres Return branchs (democratic, monarchist, fascist)

Tannu Tuva of course, it singlehandedly droves the Wehrmacht all the way to Berlin!

But seriously though, aside from USSR (obviously due to this being a DLC about the Eastern Front) and Poland (confirmed by the devs), I think the DLC may also have (in decreasing probabilities) one or two of the following items: Finland, a shared tree for the Baltic states, and the Scandinavian countries. Although looking at La Resistance, it's possible that there will only be 3 trees (Soviets, Poland, and Finland), especially if the trees are huge.

There are no confirmations for now. We know the update is called 'Barbarossa', so probably the Soviets. Also there's going to be a teaser about Poland sometime today or tommorow. I firmly believe that Finland's going to get updated too, perhaps with Iran/Iraq/Sweden updates.

Seeing the latest dev diary where Poland can make allies of Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland - does this mean focuses for Nordic countris aswell or is this reading too much into things?

Interesting question. It's really strange that Poland can do that though.
That was my first response. "okay, why can Poland/the Intermarrium ally the Nordics that had nothing to do with it?", then I thought for myself, it might because they will be the focus of the DLC.

Pretty sure that's just reading too much into things and it's just intended to give poland a chance to make way more friends than it did historically.

Pretty sure that's just reading too much into things and it's just intended to give poland a chance to make way more friends than it did historically.
True. Germany can ally of Europe after waking the tiger, both Man the Guns and Battle of the Bospohorous could the nations ally Italy without a focus tree for them.

But it doesn't make any kind of sense. If none of the Nordic nations joined the much more powerfull allies led by UK, without being declared war on, then why would they join Poland and most likely end up in a war?

Bit disingenuous to label the German tree as barely changed, considering this is what it looked like beforehand (mind the doodles, found in a very old thread) see attached.

It's no different to saying that the British tree in MtG "only added a few new options to go down", whereas that also got a similar level of work done. Besides, the German tree has 2 different ideology branches (democratic and monarchist) so saying it's just one is also just wrong lol.

Italy will need a lot of work, but like pretty much all the other base game trees, a lot will stay the same and just be moved around.

It's also worth pointing out that Germany already had the best focus tree in the game by the time WTT added more content for it.

This is not the case for Italy, even without the expansions Japan, UK, USA, France and Germany eventually got, Italy's focus tree didn't offer much.

I'm still a passionate believer that Mongolia and Menjiang should be reworked, given cores on eachother, and maybe given little mini focus trees the kind that Chinese minors had. Not only do I think there'd be some demand to play as these two nations, it'd make both USSR and Japan games more fun if their llittle pet Mongolia's each had a little more flavour to them. They're also like the only countries Eurasia that don't have focus trees already, along with Tannu Tuva obviously.

Confirmed: Only USSR.

The rest is specualtion and we will need to see the future dev diaries before we really can say who are confirmed in this thread.

To keep up with what seems to be the real content, and countless threads, I suppose USSR expansion will have focus trees for Finland and Poland. They might add either Norway or Sweden or Iran or Iraq. Albeit Scandinavia and the Middle-East will likely be in country packs, wouldn't surprise me if Norway and Sween is in the next expansion the Middle-East will get a country pack and vice verca. Likely some updates to the powers in the region. Wouldn't surprise me if we got trees for Mongolia or seperate Soviet states - allthough I do not hope so.

Italy likely what was in their pre-thought sphere - aka. Austria and Switzerland. Perhaps also Belgium, because why not. Or further tweaks of Yugoslavia, Hungary and Romania. Wouldn't surprise me if we got a focus tree for Ethiopia either even if I hope they would rather focus on Italy.

USSR was not confirmed. Only Poland was.

Possibly the case of Mongolia and the small countries of Central Asia and the area later have a small regional shared tree very similar to the concept of the warlod trees with some small differential specific branch as the case of Mongolia regarding restoring khanato

URSS no fue confirmado. Solo Polonia lo fue.
It is obvious that Soviet rework will come in this dlc and surely more brutal and immense than the Polish rework since they said in this dlc there would be two immense reworks divided into 2 parts and they already confirmed Italian rework this dlc will not come
