I'll be working on a Cold War mod from 1965 with tech atleast up to the 1980s. I've been doing some prelimenary work, like figuring out techs, doctrines, some national focuses and units.

Hopefully i'll get other people to help me soon :D
Could you make an extension from where hoi currently ends as well?

Hi,

a) WW1 Mod - it would be successful, receive community help and is a very interesting scenario (ideally with some build up and some Balkan Wars) - some support for colonial wars (logistics) would also be helpful
b) Cold War Era WW3 or Alternate Reality Cold War Era WW3 Mod
c) ICE/August Storm WW2- any Mod that increases detail and immersion for a WW2 environment
d) Alternate Reality Mod ("Kaiserreich") that has good narrative elements and creates good stories (for AAAs as well) and provides a "fresh" scenario

Well, given the presence of mechas in both universes, I wouldn't mind sharing various assets (when fitting), but I don't believe mixing both would be any good. Also, I think the sheer amount of work involved would require us to focus entirely on one mod rather than splitting it up in various scenarios. Plus, I'm not much interested in the mechas, but really more in the actual setup of Code Geass.

That said, thanks for the proposition, and I do wish you luck with the project.

On subject: WWI and The Man in the High Castle.

a few days ago on the forum Matrix I made a proposal to develop War In The East 2 use automation of routine processes from the Hearts of Iron 4 (such as aviation algorithms, auxiliary parts etc) ...

today WITE is the best wargame, but too difficult gameplay because of the huge amounts of chips permuted manually; but for HOI 4 obviously do not have the depth of the military game (such as a broken system of combat width divizions - unhistorical figures for artillery, supply and railroads systems and etc.)

I know what you meant, I expressed myself badly. What I meant to say is that even though some assets might be shared, the actual mods would have little in common, given most of the nations, technology trees, units, national foci, events, and last but not least, the map, are drastically different. In that sense, working together would mean actively investing time into both scenarios, which really would just be two very different mods in reality, and could become difficult to manage, if not overwhelming, given the amount of work a total conversion represents.

Additonally, on my part at least, there's the lack of interest in the other setup. Not only am I not really interested in the Gundam lore, but I hardly imagine it in HoI IV. That said, you might have some original ideas, I can't say I read your thread. (Shame on me!) Nonetheless, I am always willing to lend a hand for little things if I can. (Let's not hijack this thread. We can discuss further in PM, or in your own thread if need be.)

For those who don't know..
Think base hoi4 as a Nintendo game and BICE makes it a super computer class game..

BICE is in my opinion overrated. It's a good mod, don't get me wrong, but not amazing or earth shattering. That's Kaiserreich in my opinion.

For those who don't know..
Think base hoi4 as a Nintendo game and BICE makes it a super computer class game..
I would love to see something less akin to a BICE mod and more along the lines of a Hoi4 to Hoi3 conversion mod, that gives us back air supply, (limited) stockpiling so tanks can consume fuel to run instead of to build, NATO counters and a deeper tech line, so there are more than 4 techs in the fighter tree. Something like researching improved engines, airframes etc to then unlock the newer spitfire model.

I want the depth of choice that I feel certain designs in HoI4 have removed, while keeping the depth of choice that was added. In grand strategy it's all about choice and variety.
