I was tempted to do a Warhammer mod but I don't know anything about the warhammer history or setting apart from wikipedia. Hopefully someone does a fantasy mod similar to that, I would play it for sure. Alternatively we could make a sort of fantasy civilisation mod like Age of Wonders. Any takers? The basic idea for that is most of the world is uncolonised and the starting races evenly spaced out on the world map. You shape the destiny of your people across various technological eras such as the arcane (where magic is dominant) to the industrial (steam punk sort of thing).

I'll be working on a Scottish-centric mod for my own play, fixing the historical errors, modifying borders to be more historically accurate and the like. Paradox's approach to history seems to be like the movie Braveheart, most people aren't familiar enough with the history to notice the errors, so it doesn't bother them, and they can sit back, relax, and enjoy the film (or in this case, game). For the historian, we can be stickler's for detail, and minor errors can be enough to send us into an apoplectic fit. And don't even get us started on the major ones! :p

I'll probably throw an alternate history scenario into my list of ambitious, but slowly progressing mods as well.

EU4 runs on Clausewitz engine which means theres a very good chance it will have provinces.jpg in some shape or form. The only difference compared to current state of EU3 would be topology and maybe another map file that defines icy/snowy effects from climate.

Unless you have some inside information? That would be very sad if we were unable to mod the map.

What I am saying is that you don't know the size of the new map, is like 3 or 4 times bigger or something? :p

Should be about the same size as Victoria 2/HOI3.
