What Mod do you hope for the most?

Hmm, well beside the usual Starwars/Startrek/Mass Effect/40k (though seriously hoping on that ME one, cause Reaper endgame disaster and because I want to take over citadel space with a horde of interstellar dolphins from beyond the known relays)

Star Trek, Star Wars and Mass Effect would fit perfectly into the game. Battlestar Galactica can be nice as well
The fact that they've mentioned multiple ticks per day means it's most certainly infeasible, but a mod where stuff like economic growth, colonization and so on happened at a more reasonable, sedate timescale rather than all happening in a few years or decades would be awesome. Not sure it'd be great for gameplay, but it'd be fun just to have honestly.

While I love the traditional Star Trek and Star Wars mods, I've played plenty of those in other strategy games. The Star Trek one for Distant Worlds is particularly good.
That being said, I'm looking forward to mods in setting that I've always wanted to play a grand strategy game in with no chance to thus far. So my top contenders would be Mass Effect, Warhammer 40K, EVE Online. The idea of controlling the Turian Hierarchy, Imperium of Man, or the Gallente Federation on a macro scale really excites me.
That being said, I'm looking forward to mods in setting that I've always wanted to play a grand strategy game in with no chance to thus far. Hopefully the game is big enough that I can combine all these mods into one and stick each universe in its own corner and watch star wars, star trek, dragonball and warhammer gradually meet in the middle.

I've said, multiple times, that I'm not going to do this. What would be the point? It'd be like making a WWII mod for Hearts of Iron.
That doesn't mean that I'm not going to dip my toes into the waters of Stellaris modding, mind you. Just that whatever I make with it will be something new. Trust me, Paradox will never be crazier than me.
It might wind up being basically this, actually.
