AI wild actually bleeds itself to death. I don´t recommend it. In earlier versions, there wasn´t THAT much difference between AI normal and AI agressive. This has changed, because the agressivity level also influences the 'threshold' for antibadboy-activities now. So if You play AI agressive, You will find Yourself attacked by a bunch of enemies more often (when making agressive moves Yourself).

I usually play difficult/aggrressive or difficult/difficult depneding if I'm playing a major or minor. I find that teh aggressive setting for a major allows more oppertunities to expand. In the latest patch you no longer suffer from gaining provinces in a peace treaty if you did not start the war. This makes teasing the AI into attacking you very important. Unfortunately playing on aggressive can lead to multiple alliances attacking you together. I have lost a number of games to grabbing one province too many and having a score of alliances attacking and decimating me.
Playing as a minor I would definitely NOT use aggressive as it makes the game very hard.
Paul.

The 'badboy' value was added in patch 1.07 to encourage countries to gang up on repeated aggressors. Each country has a 'badboy' value that increases as they expand, causing other nations to become wary and develop a tendency to ally together and attack the warlike country. In 1.07a, this led to nations constantly declaring war on a successful country. 1.07b has greatly improved the AI's use of the badboy value, but unfortunately introduced the dreaded vassalization problem.
