- Expand the Piety mechanism of the Sunnis with the 4 main schools of law (Hanbali, Hanefi, Maliki, and Shafi).
- More dynamic trading, why end nodes only in Europe?
- Also add a formable for the Turks!![]()
Things i want:
*Eastern europe to be fixed, if ROTw can get as detailed as west eruope, east europe needs fixes now too
*A religion buff DLC so the other religions are actually... there, and not just random colors on the map
*a peacetime DLC. EU4 is far to focused on map painting, and there isn't enough content in game to do outside of preparing my armies for the next war.
*Improved dynastic things; Royal marriages shouldn't just be candy to hand out to some countries, i should have a better understanding of my succession, ect.
Things i dont want:
*Any starts before 1444, We already have a game that covers the period of 1399 - 1453. It's called crusader kings 2 and we need them to actually make the late game of that interesting instead of just undercutting it with eu4, which would also add more disincentive for paradox to make sure CK2 actually runs in any working way
*Expansions of the timeline forward, we have a game for that, called victoria II (and soon, hopefully, III) that does that just fine
*New Game features at the expense of anything making the rest of the game better.
Give Buddhism, Confucianism, Shinto and pagan religions some love. Make them as interesting to play as Christian, Muslim and Dharmic faiths.

No, not really. Give me the 1399 startdate in CK2 and I'll be happy; for now, it is not covered by the game.
tyhe time period itself is though; that you cant natively piclk it doesnt mean we need to expand another game backwards just to cover something another game already has in i
The main issue here is not that EU4 shouldn't go back to 1399 but that CK2 should finish by then, if not before, as it is out of the feudal system side of the game. Anyway, Paradox can do what they like, I am just saying that I have no intention in buying any DLC for it beside one going backwards. I don't seem to be alone in feeling the game should go back to 1399. Anyway, I can use one of those two good looking mods if need be, but I would rather use an official game.
"have no intention in buying any DLC for it beside one going backwards. " man, cant wait for all the currently lacking game concepts being ported back 40 years, really gonna flesh out the game some more, won't that.
but if spreading the shallow mechanics of the game even thinner is all you want, then you can have the shallow i guess
In Nominee in EU3 was my favourite DLC for the game, as the earlier start added much more to the game, & would always start the game there. This was the 2nd DLC for EU3 & was well respected as one of the best released for the game. EU4 has had four releases so far, so I would hope that the game would be fully fleshed out by now, & to look at extending the game like CK2.
Like I said that is my opinion, & I'm sorry if that disagrees on your perception of what the game should be.
Better naval system, better colony system, stability as a process just like rebels are now.
And a simple dinasty system to allow more interesting pretender revolts and wars of succession.
How about lending troops from your allies or neighbors as mercenaries? I mean you recruit them as regular mercs, but the money you spend on their maintenance will go to the state u've hired from. The better relations, the lower price. Also all stats (morale, discipline and ideas modifiers) are inherited from the original country, meaning that Prussian mercs will be much better than Dutch =)
This could be awesome in co-op's and MP games but i'm not sure how AI could do that.
