Brain-Lasers

Everyone gets Brain-Lasers.

And if that involves a little bit of communing with eldritch entities from another dimension, well that's just the price of doing business.

Play as the commonwealth of man, retake earth, build ringworlds, and truly make humanity the greatest species in the galaxy.

Edit: and turn molluscoids into sushi I guess

Well, since we have a general distrust of free-willed peoples, our proud species will spread peace and love throughout the galaxy, by force. Everyone will be citizens under our empire, but if a certain species fucks up by trying to rebel or just any bit of naughtiness, we take away their rights. And if they test us hard enough, we will just kill em all off. Simple. Everyone will be part of our peaceful empire, whether they want to or not. >:)

My first thought is to go transcendent psionic democracy of some sort with a dysonsphere to provide the energy needed to contact the other plane. I'm wondering how these perks are going to work though, for example will you be able to get all of the perks needed for psionic ascendency as well as all the perks needed to build a dysonsphere? I don't know.

Yes you will, total of 7 ascension slots (which I think is too much imo).

An arachnid or molluscoid materialist militarist tall science empire that seeks the better life for all citizens regardless of species. I always take the militarist because I hate being unable to declare war on potential threats before it is too late (I don't seek conflict but you are gonna get it if you look for it)

I'm thinking either spiritualist or materialist, start out as military but change when THE WORM spreads it's love. If materialist then I'm going to go full robotics and use the Planetary computer mod to turn planets into giant databases all over my territory.

Xenophilic Militarists. We are one galaxy, we are one life deluded by perceived differences. We oppose those who are too weak and feeble to seize harmony when it is within their grasp. As for those who undermine this precious balance of the galaxy through their ill-conceived notions of "purity" and "efficiency", may whatever god they worship have mercy on their souls, for we will have none.

I intend to have a lot of hypocrisies and double-talk. "Freeing" the galaxy, but glassing the planets of imperialists without second thought, and subjugating the weak races who believe in "decentralized cooperation", when "alliances" and "factions" are just fancy names for "ghettos".

The Noldoran Technocratic Foundation is a Fanatic Materialist, Individualist Scientific Oligarchy that focuses solely on technology and its advancement. (This will change in 1.5 to Fanatic Materialist, Authoritarian and it will probably be the Materialist Autocracy.) The NTF will happily create alliances and help build a powerful Federation but it does not want aliens in its borders. The NTF isn't xenophobic, and indeed we have like, so many alien friends, but the idea of having aliens living on Noldoran worlds does not sit well with the populace. We will build Dyson Spheres, Science Nexus's, Ring Worlds, Habitats and more in order to use a relatively small amount of space.

The Noldorans do not do manual labor, that is all taken care of by Synthetics who have full citizenship rights within the NTF. The Noldoran populace instead focuses on pursuits of the mind such as economic wealth generation and scientific research. The primarily goal of the NTF beyond building great wonders in space is to achieve perfection and immortality through cybernetics and eventually robotics. It is through technology that we will find perfect, and we will build such grand wonders in the universe.

An anarcho-capatalists utopia run by mega corporations where anything is for sale. The utopian living standards will be fueled by the blood and labour of lesser beings while the supreme race enjoys the fruits of the galaxy.
