What is your plan for the day HOI IV comes out?

Well..... not everybody here are at school age......

I am the same way, I am am not of school age and have responsibilities ahead of pulling all nighters. I have no more days off as I took off time for my son, so I will be teaching the end of the Cold War on June 6th to my students and getting them ready for exams. When I get home, I will play as long as I can until I have to sleep in order to be recharged to do it all over again on Tuesday. The coming weekend when I would normally have more time I have my son who will get 110% of my attention until his bed time. I might be able to play a 1/2 hour or so before I pass out. This game is the most I have ever anticipated for a game in my life, watching and waiting its development for almost 3 years. So believe me I am hyped as hyped can be, but my son comes first always!

Someday when he is old enough I will give him the reigns of FDR! Heck he will probably be the one showing me how cool Hearts of Iron 7 is in virtual mode (Integrated by @DDRJake no doubt!)

Well 6th June is the start of my first full week back at work after a month off due to the birth of my second son so for me Paradox couldn't have released HOI IV at a worst time 6th June is also my dads birthday so i will hopefully grab half an hour in bed once both boys are put to bed. Though my new Alienware 13 is due 7th June so I may just wait till then.

Oh the joys of parenthood, the gaming PC sits almost abandoned and untouched and I end up buying a gaming laptop to try and grab those few precious free moments of gaming in bed before I drift of to dreams of world domination

I'm starting this thread to see what everyone's plan of attack is for June 6th. My plan is quite interesting because I get my wisdom teeth out on the 6th.

My plan is to take an afternoon nap June 5th to prep for the oncoming all nighter.

You may want to take care for when it is actually released. I know for the U.S., it wasn't actually available until midday the day of release.

Already have vacation days scheduled for the 6th and 7th. Wife and kids planning to go visit grandma.
Oddly, I'm having wisdom teeth pulled on the 4th... Been putting it off too long (they told me to get them out 30 years ago).

I have to defend my master thesis a week after that, so I'll be studying 12 hours a day. On the other hand, the first few hotfixes will be out by then.

Hopefully they hit the release button before I have work at 1700 EST. If so, I'll get a couple of hours in. Do my time at the grindstone, then come home and do another hour or two. Then proceed to sleep.

Unless, we have the next baby ultrasound that day. If so the only thing that really stays is work, and the time may get flexed.

As I am in Eutz I will come home from work, start the computer and start the hoi iv download. While it installs I will eat dinner and after thar start my very first campaign as germany/historical

Allredy got 6, 7 and 8 off from work, plus the first 3 days off each week for 3 consecutive week.... happy days.... just need to asure the logistics and hire a MP to assure peace with the fionce or maybe bribe her(allredy started yesterday with some flowers) to switch to Neutral and not get bodderd

If it's released in the European evening of the 6th, I'll probably just start the download and then hit the hay since I'll wake up at 3:30am. But the 7th will be a rather quiet day at work, so that's when I get to dive into the game.

3. Download at 6
4. Hiss at my parents to leave me alone whilst I'm trying to play
5. June 8th, put the results of my Germany campaign on the test so that I can get extra points

Yeah, but I study electrical engineering. So all attacks from thin air, or waves of obscurity recive massive penalty.

Also, the enemy has superior numbers and is ahead in researched techs, so only salvation lies in my preparation bonus.

I have used all my PTO begining june 6th. On d-day -3 i will load my pc in the car and drive to my aunt's secluded house in the rocky mountains and set up in the basement, AKA C.I.G.S. HQ.
I should arrive before d-hour -12. Limited R&R time. Double check equipment.
I will awaken on d-day and begin to obsessively google "what time is it in stockholm?" And check the twitch channel because i assume the will do a launch event like stellaris. The launch event for stellaris was irritating to be honest. And i love your streams and your streamers, normally. But it just made me want to scream "push the button!". I assume the hoi4 prelaunch event will cause me physical pain, so i have some tylenol packed. But all will be forgiven once the button is pushed.

Well, since I like in Australia, by the time its released, itl probably be late at night on June 6th, so Ill then download it and play on the 7th here. If it does get released earlier though (still on the 6th Swedish time), and the download is small enough (to actually give time to finish it), then i may play into the early hours of the morning, or maybe save it for the 7th anyway. Dont wanna be disturbed while playing those first hours, so save it for the best time to do so
