Well I just downloaded it and couldn't stop playing until that damn exit messege appeared!! grr...

Well it ran perfectly smooth no ctds or bugs of notice. The AI might need some tweaking, it was way to easy to take provinces unattacked.

But I had a great time playing it (played Brandenburg and became Holy roman emperor twice :D) nice ending log you get but I saw "you won 1 provinces"

WTH! "provinces!!" It's 1 province for christ sake Edit it or I won't buy the game ;)

I want to pull in a poll here with 1-5 grading settings but i can't find an add poll button so you will have to tell your opinion about the game and give it a grade too :D

From me it gets 5/5 Awesome!!

4/5, lots of fun.

I'll definately be getting the full version soon, instead of the year long wait I gave HOI2.

Many of the gameplay mechanics seemed fun, like:
- Military tradition
- More diplomatic options
- HRE & papacy
- National ideas
- Dynamic event system (well I only believe it's there, didn't get much dynamics in the short demo period)
- Spies
- Outliner
etc

But equally there were a number of alarms:

- As Castile, I annexed Aztecs, and gold income from any of those provinces was much lower than the income from a colonial city producing sugar. No idea why.
- Changing national idea for -2 stab only? Doesn't that make it a bit too easy to turn the nation around in a few years?
- Leader pool, invincible leaders (I just posted a thread about this)
- AI seems no better than EU2. In my test game as Bohemia, I attacked Austria. Bavaria, the ally of Austria occupied all my provinces, getting 100% victory. Austria auto-peaces me taking my 152 ducats from the treasury. What?
- The 3D map works ok but frankly it is totally unnecessary
- Exploration was way too easy

Truth being told, I'm very scared now. The game has a huge lot of promise but currently the execution seems to fall a bit short.

. . .

Actually I'm a little concerned by this too. Why don't the national ideas have any prerequisites?

At first I thought they were all available b/c the demo was letting us have some sandbox fun, but I don't see anything to indicate it won't be the same in the full game. So what's to stop Ethiopia from taking quest for the new world and settling australia? (Besides money I guess.) Or African pagans tribes with no government tech from taking national banks and stockpiling cash? (To fund their secret world domination attempts!)

I'm willing to trust that it won't be as unbalanced as it seems to be at first glance. Afterall, there are only so many slots for NIs to use. It just seems. . . a little weird.
