wtf is with this damn file? now each time i try to delete the bad IC game i'm told i cant delete this file cause my access is denied bull shit!

I'm using xp so i dont have the stupid win7 bull shit protection crap to deal with yet.

oh and this damn file come with the gamersgate download of vanilla Iron Cross!

I would really appreciate it if anyone could tell me why this idiotic file can't be deleted. it acts like an infected file, but like i said, it came with the IC vanilla download. That leads me to think that the gamersgate download of IC vanilla is corrected somehow.

Thanks for any assistance. it sucks that i can't play IC for a while now cause something like this wont have a quick solution, unfortunately :(

The dll is most likely registered so it wont allow you to tamper with it, try this:

http://www.sophos.com/support/knowledgebase/article/14343.html

I also had these kind of errors with my other computer, which doesn't have an internet connection. I didn't want to unistall the game because I couldn't reinstall it so I made some tests and noticed that if I start the game using Arsenal.exe it somehow fixed these errors. After that the aodgame.exe file also started to work.

EDIT: So this was for installed game. If the chainsawdaz's instructions above doesn't help, to get rid of that MSVBVM60.dll file you probably must start the windows in safe mode and then delete it. Could be a good idea to make a backup of it before.

it took me a few hours of windows research but i found out that that particular DLL file was corrupted and i had to reinstall it. It's working correctly now.

Thanks for your comments though guys.

if anyone ever has a DLL problem, just google the DLL that is giving you the problem and u can usually find a free copy of the DLL online to fix the problem.
