Sorry for putting up 2 threads in 20 minutes...just trying hard to learn how to play with all the changes.
I notice that my borders are pretty firmly fixed around single stars now (unlike before). In the last version of the game, I used to build outposts far away to then "absorb" stars in between my homeworld and the outpost.
So from my homeworld now, on my new game, there is a star immediately adjacent to me with good resources. In the past, I would incorporate this star by building an outpost several stars further out.
Is it a new strategy to build outposts from star to star now?
