What is the most insane thing you have done in this game?

For me, it was uninstalling it. I missed the HOI4 icon on my desktop, so I reinstalled.

Actually, there was one thing I recall - I was playing as the United States, and in my wisdom I decided to declare on Venezuela. Mistake! By the time I managed to land my 3 Marine divisions the Venezuelans had amassed about 200 spam divisions in one province. Or something ridiculous. But I lost my marines, and I couldn't get anymore landed due to them having about 150,000,000 men on the beaches.

Maybe not the most crazy in the world's history, but once as Romanovs' Poland I was in war with: Latvia, Estonia, Hungary, Romania and Yugoslavia in the same moment, having something like 500, maybe 600k men in the field. And I have won, even if I was in the half way to capitulation, because Romania stretched the frontline so mutch, that they had no enough troops to cover all the borders and I slipped in between the gaps to the VP's. I remember this playtrough as one of the best in my HOI4 carrier.

When I tagged back to my country the AI had ruined everything. Redrawn all my front lines, reassigned all my armies and generals, my trade, and my factories. My frontlines, production efficiency and hope in humanity = gone.

Conquered the world and puppeted most of it. Then I integrated all the puppets, which took a mindboginly long time.
I mean it wasn't so crazy, just slow. Was done in the 60s I think.

Then I built up and drove Japan off the continent.

Somehow created an eternal frontline as Poland vs Ger, holding well into 42 when I decided it is stupid. Germany(and Italy, of course) lost about 2 to 5 millions of men incessantly storming my river megabunkers with no end in sight, while I lost around 100k to 200k. Have a save somewhere. Allies literally did nothing while the Western German border was empty all this time. Oh well

I have two that I think were pretty insane on the same level

I conquered Japan and China as Vietnam, then conquered the US the game ended in the 60s. Since I had knocked out Japan they never declared on the US and it never joined the Allies which was probably how I ended up conquering them.

I was doing the "Freegypt" achievement and I landed my forces in Northern Italy, I had a full 24 stack 20 width which was about all the manpower I could generate without killing my production. I pushed the Italians and Germans to the alps... only to find out that Britain had removed all of their troops in Italy and abandoned the port... my troops were encircled and wiped... I spent the rest of the game just supplying convoys and arms until I was free, I got the achievement, I flipped ideology through a civil war AND I started beating up Britain, unfortunately the Axis were losing and in pure desperation I threw all my planes into kamikaze and attempted a landing in London which somehow succeeded and we capitulated the UK, once the Germans came over, America was at war at this point but the UK was knocked out. Not even a few days later I capitulated but I took out the UK #NeverForget.

Played as Belgium, joined the Axis, didn't join the war, sent only volunteers, had them bleed to death in the Alps at the border between Italy and France.
