What is the gameplan for fifth empire Portugal?

So far i have come to that helping Japan take out China after you have made a collaboration government out of your macau there, then give the land you got in peace conference to it, and then you get infinite manpower.
Also, if the spanish civil war finishes early on, take the topple government focus that gives you a wargoal against spain, they are super easy to take out early on with just cavalry. Then annex their colonies, annex galicia and balearic isles and then puppet the rest of spain.

Sure, there's no wrong way to play the game so long as you're having fun.
