What is the difference between those two options for the same country becoming my vassal?

Hi,

I'm facing quite a new thing.

First sorry for the screenshots in French. I'm hoping you can understand them due to numbers and icons, but if I can translate anything, just ask.

Here is my situation: I'm in a war against Brandeburg, Anhalt, Sachsen (? not sure if that's the english name of Sax) and the vassal of Anhalt, Sax-lauenburg.

I have fully conquered anhalt + sax-lauenburg and want to kick them out of the war asap.

Castille is my ally with its own PU (aragon, naple) and Bade is my vassal.
(I'm the custom country Hyrule.)

In the "peace offering" menu I see twice, in the last tab for Anhalt only) a Sax-lauenburg icon "vassal Hyrule" to make it become my vassal.

See first screenshot:
eu4question3.PNG

One option cost 34% warscore and cost 10 bird mana.
same option (but second one) cost 17% ws and 188 bird mana.

Obviously I would better spend less bird mana, even if requiring higher warscore (since I may not take Anhalt lands at all in this war, I'm still unsure).

Details of each option:
option 1:

option 2:
eu4question2.PNG

I really don't get how the "base cost" can be 27 in option one, 471 in the second for the same thing.

Can somebody explain? i'd rather know what to click rather than just test every option in this case.

Thank you.

Edit: detail if needed: I have activated the splendor bonus of "transfer dependance for 1/2 cost."

I don't know the exact issue. My French is a little rusty but it looks like option two has an extra line of dialogue that says, "saxe will cease to be a vassal of anhalt....and then something about hyrule." I would GUESS that this distinction is what is causing the increased diplo cost. Whether that is working as designed or a bug I don't know.

Also, Sachsen I believe is Saxony if my flags are right.

you've unlocked Transfer Subject with 800 splendor, it gives you an option in a peace treaty to get enemies subjects for half the cost. For example, if you get 100% WS against Burgundy then you could get all 3 of their subjects in a single peace deal, or Norway from Denmark.

Edit: this peace deal costs more diplo points, cuts the cost of transfer vassal in half, and is only available in Age of Discovery.
