Hi,

I want to know what is the best way for Germany to protect against strategic bombing in the multiplayer game.
Is it better to build more AA in all areas?
Is there a way to effectively counter, the Allies from concentrating all their airforce to bomb an area and then swap it to another area when you react? I have the impression that you lose a lot of aircraft when you split your fighter force into 6-7 air areas as they get decimated

It smeems impossible to contain the British, USA and USSR (who sends volunteers when not yet at war with Germany) strategic bombing and it has a very negative effect on war support and infrastructure.

What do you advice?

Thanks

1. Most server rulesets restrict / ban strat bombing, because it's seen as a boring way to play
2. *All* servers I have played on ban "flicker bombing", which means there's a minimum time between switching bombing zones. Almost all ban strat bombing using volunteers.
3. As you say, splitting your planes is a mistake. You need to follow the Allied bombers. Normally there is a a dedicated player job is to manage the air-force (air-controller)
4. In terms of production, dispersed industry makes your buildings less vulnerable to bombing; radar helps your fighters detect bombers; and, like you say, AA also helps. There are continuous focuses to accelerate building radar/AA and also repair.
5. Flying from the UK, the Allies' fighters only have range for West and North West Germany till Fighter 4s (1944/45 depending on mod). So you only need to defend there. If you've lost Italy and they can bomb from there, then you'll need to defend other zones, but if the Allies have Italy and enough mils for strats, you've probably lost anyway.

In SP some player get good result on 100 fighter each zone on Intercept. On MP you can combine a force each zone and a mobile fighter forces. Remember Intercept has better mechanics than superiority. And the ultimate goal is doing disruption, not a favor kill loss ratio.
