You're confusing the Brandenburg inheritance of Prussia with the "Claim the name of Prussia" thingy.Originally posted by Wrangel

Brandenburg inherited Prussia in 1618. However, the Elector of Brandenburg didn't get the title of King of Prussia until 1701.

And you are sure of this?
I rasontly read that in the Swedish war against Poland in the 1650s, her ally Brandenburg occupied Prussia and later annexed them. But they still called them self Brandenburg. The name Prussia was taken in 1701.
Have I been missinformed?

Not completely, what happened in the 50s was that it was fully freed from Poland's suzerainty, as IIRC, Hohenzollerns only inherited the Eastern part (which is what "Prussia" is in EU2)

Since there seems to be some Brandenburg-Prussia discussion, can someone "in the know" tell me if the Prussia inheritance event will ever be modified to give Brandenburg Baltic culture? It doesn't look like it made it into this patch, but I was just wondering if it may be in a future patch or if it is a dead idea.
- Warning now works if the country warned attacks either your neighbour or his neighbours.
- Guarantees should now give casus belli at all times.

So...does this mean that if you have a 72 month +3 revolt risk and get hit with a 12 month +1, we won't be getting +4 for 72 months like it is now?

Presumably those Greenland TPs/colonies will be rebel controlled to reflect the fact that they were NOT in practice part of any European country, but had total control over their own affairs? And what is with knowledge of Newfoundland? Just because some Vikings went there 400 years ago is no reason at all to suppose anyone in Norway or Denmark still knows about it. Vague rumours that there's land out there somewhere, at best.

Also, the province of Prussia changes culture to German with the event, so only Memel should be non-state culture (until the partition of Poland).
