When I write a decision mode using estate-influence I get a corrupted save-game and this code is added to the corrupted save-game.
It's not in the non-corrupted save-game that I checked.

For reasons unknown it does not break vanilla when it has an identical code block as when it breaks Extended Timeline and M&T. While it doesn't affect vanilla it does affect the game of over 100000 people (Extended Timeline has 158k subscribers alone) and as such should be considered a major bug.

Yeah yeah you don't have to try to legitimize your mod. He already told you they're on it.

For the record she was 'legitimizing' extended timeline, which isn't the mod she works on. But I would hate to quibble over such small details, surely it's more useful to focus on the actual save-breaking bug. Perhaps it would be useful if someone provided information as to the extent of the problem, or perhaps the range of people it affects? That might be helpful in understanding whether it is a fairly rare bug or a far more common one. Sadly I myself lack such data usage, but I'm sure someone here might know it.

While I agree that it's a serious bug; I would not say that it qualifies as a major bug. Major bugs are those which affect vanilla.

Okay that came out more aggressive or annoyed than I intended, I guess. Still though, I don't think it was helpful, classy or productive to quote numbers of mod users to put pressure on Paradox about a bug that already has their attention.

Fair enough, harassing people is never the goal. It's a little unnerving when a patch breaks things in a way modders can't fix, though. We've been running around trying to figure out what is wrong, if it was our code, and various other things, all the while dealing with that aforementioned large group of people who want the mod updated. Speaking for M&T we have a pretty pacient and nice group of people, but people get sad and worried.

While I agree that it's a serious bug; I would not say that it qualifies as a major bug. Major bugs are those which affect vanilla.

Serious vs major in bug definitions is little hard to tell the difference. Also, it probably is affecting vanilla, I got it to reproduce once on a vanilla game. It's probably not affecting vanilla as often. Mods (especially huge mods like M&T) tend to push the engine hard, revealing flaws that might only happen in exceptionally large or complex vanilla games.

This may or may not be helpful to anyone looking for a fix to the problem:
I got the re-load/save game error while playing with ET.
With ET I was also using my mod ''Modify Estate loyalty and influence using Admin, Military and/or Dip Power points'', which uses an estate-influence check.
When estate-influence was used in the 'allow' area I got the reload-save game error.
But when I moved the estate-influence check to the 'potential' area the reload/save-game error went away.
I'm now playing with ET and my mod error free.
