What is a "Survey Site?"

I have a Heritor quest that asks me to build "Survey Sites":

What the heck are those? Forward bases? Modified forward bases? Housing sector upgrades? L2 energy districts? I have literally no idea.

Does someone know what this means?

If i'm not wrong. Explore a anomaly site counts as survey site. Could try left clicking on the blue text to get more information.

it's anomalies, those purple triangle things you need a hero to explore with the text based actions from the revelations dlc.
