I am also gonna play as Sayyed Delhi and Gwalior(Their ruler gave the Koh I noor to Babur)

Or maybe play during the time Nadir Shah invaded India.

About your Mughal plan. Do you plan to form them. If so which nation.
Or if you plan to use a bookmark - Which one?

1444 start and since I've already done a Transoxiana campaign it will probably be with the Timurids, although I'm tempted to try it with Afghanistan. I will also try out a short campaign with Mysore in the 1776 bookmark.

Punjab doesn't start as a nation anymore. It's Sirhind but Punjab is a releasable from them still I'm assuming

My serious answer is I'd like to play any nation in India that isn't Muslim. I'm currently playing a Mushasha game as Shiite (and I should have culture shifted to Persian and formed Persia) and it's really fun!

But I'd like to try something different and be Buddhist or Hindu or something.

I was thinking Madurai, to get the achievement, but looking over the map changes maybe not. I think I'll hold off to see what achievements are coming. I wonder if there will be an achievement for the Mughals.

As someone who is studying Afghan history, I was overjoyed when Cradle of Civilization made Afghanistan a playable nation from the start, and my first game in that DLC was, of course, Afghanistan > Persia. This time, with neighbouring India receiving far more detail, I'm thinking my first game will be Afghanistan > Mughals, a nation that - after more than 4,500 hours in this game - I have actually never formed. So that, I suppose.

Vijayanagar, but I'll let the Tamil general take over and make Vij into a Tamil-dominated commercial and colonial empire. I won't expand beyond the Deccan in India, but I'll go ham on Indonesia and East Africa.

It will be so nice now that there are good mission trees for many nations in India-Burma-Tibet. If I'm not mistaken, Gujarat has the "conquest of Champaner." Orissa has 3 or 4 missions for conquering coastalish lands in Eastern India, and the Mughals have a tree that just covers North India.
Other than Glorious Taungu, I've always loved Gujarat and Bengal when I want to play money heavy, and Orissa, Bahmanis, Mewar when I wanted stronger troops, either way, I can't wait.

I'm looking forward to returning to Bengal now that their ideas aren't going to be hot garbage and Ming won't be Tributizing all of India. I shall rebuild the Sur Empire, then take the rest of Bharat for the Tiger!

Orissa, I don't really know why, it just strikes me as an interesting nation's to play, what with it's vassal swarm and stronger enemies both to the north and south.

Definitely Jaunpur first, I always default to them in India. After that either Bahmanis or Bengal, and Vij at some point.
