A looong thread that discuss if america would have beaten the British Empire without the french... Patriots against historicans and NO vic event or scenario sadly. But some good points about a post-american if they had lost the rebellion
In the discussion about Vinland and after reading Byzantine mod. I think maybe a new tread where in order.

Id like a scenario whith more what if´s.
Currently my idea is:
Vikings in Vinland stayed and begun trading with the natives back in AD: 1000 and founded a new country
Constantinople never fell 1453, the last crusade saved the city and the pushed the turks back. (Have to look for events in EU2 forum if exist!)

If Vinland existed, maybe the revolt would not have happend so-->
New England independent/sattelite
Louisiana independent royal french settlement with a decadent descandent to Lois XVI
A free USA that only streches from Whashington down to Florida.

Be welcome to suggests ideas, new what if scenarios that could be included or another idea of north america.

As I'm no good at scenario scripting, and actually doesn't even own Vic yet (have ordered it though!), this is a suggestion to anyone who ARE:

How 'bout a scenario with a world like that of Harry Turtledove's "The two Georges"? Some of the biggest differences to our own:
* America never left the British Empire, and is called
"The North American Union"
* France and Spain, and their combined colonies, has been united
under one crown, known as "The Holy Alliance"
* The German states never united, neither did the Italian states.

If you read the Orson scott card books, you will find he argue that the independency of USA where when Gerige Washington and/or Samuel Adams intruced the term Americans as a new national identity so they would sooner or later became independent. And reading the history, without massacre, maybe they would be gaining independence in say... 1835 Given the personality in the new world colonist!

And with that you could have more intresting new nations, like Deseret...
It would be nise to repaint the borders so they follow natural boundaries but...

So part of the colonies stays under the crown of england as a grand duchy rest gain independence by several small rebellions and finaly when Napoleon puts fear in europe the brittish grant them independence so not all of their colonies are lost (by the threat of Vinland to aid and annex the colonies perhaps)

Or you could do the version of events followed in the 'For want of a nail' book.

13 colonies form Confederation of North America. Washington and defeated continentals leave the east coast and set up what becomes the United States of Mexico (later Empire and back again) Canadian and N. american territories merge but cant remember exactly how at the mo.
