It probably will be, and it will be called "Patch 1.14", following it will be a paid expansion with another name, following that will probably be another free expansion, that one called "Patch 1.15".

We usually release a major bugfixing patch between expansions.

I wonder if Johan and Wiz talk about us at the water cooler? Like, "Did you see that thread about giving away a free expansion?"

We did have a good laugh at that one thread where someone was telling Johan to stop stealing my 'no' catchphrase.

Overkill Interactive (behind Payday 2) seems to have no trouble releasing free DLC, as a comparison of an indie company with perhaps roughly the same capacity. They understand that releasing free DLC is a good move that translates into goodwill, which unfortunately accountants find difficult to calculate.

We release free features in patches all the time, it's just that we don't market it as 'free DLC'.
