This is from Age of Imperialism, but still, I've never seen the Knights actually conquer anything before. Every game they end up with Rhodes, Malta, and sometimes Tripoli, but never anything other than that. Their short-lived (20-year) empire reached 5 provinces. The bluish-green is Hungary and Naples who are allied with the Knights, and the dark green in Konya is the Ottomans who have completely ceased to exist on 2 separate occasions, hence why their capital wound up in Konya. Also, since the Ottomans are a revolter they lost all of their state cultures except for Turkish and apparently all of their cores as well. They have no CBs on anyone.

In AGCEEP the knights gain Tripoli from Spain in an event. I don't know if that has any historical reason or not, but it might be worth mentioning.

Actualy it is historical, they actually owned tripoli after being pushed out of Rhodes IIRC...

I've often seen them take a few Eastern Mediterranean/Anatolian provinces. That is quite normal in my experience.
