WHY does Norway almost always get annexed by Denmark? I mean what do they get from it? I think 100% revolt risk may be better! It is slightly illogical, ESPECIALLY because they may have changed their mind...
And WHAT if Sweden didn't even break the vassalisation? or make it so public? What if Sweden had just broken the increasingly unstable alliances with the Danish???

Th

I think that this is why it is a variable. It is possible that Norway would not get annexed by Denmark. As a matter of fact, in the game I'm playing as Austria right now, they refused to join. Of course, this is the only time I've ever seen that in the 1000+ times (exageration) I've played, but still it may be of some consolodation to you.

If you don't like the event the way it fires, add the revolt risk in Norway for the Danish in the event.

Norway had strong ties to Denmark and her nobility were quite weak (relatively poor and without much land). It was in the best interest of the Norwegian nobility to seek protection under a strong king. The peasants of course didn't care all that much.

The Swedish nobility were very strong on the other hand, and they didn't want anyone messing in their business.

There was much income and power a Danish king could meddle with in Sweden. In Norway a Danish king really couldn't make things worse for the nobility.

If Sweden were to leave the alliance they would have left the Union too ... you can't be part of a political union and stay out of that union's wars. And they did try (as you) know to stay loosely tied to Denmark in every way they could. The Danish king invaded sooner or later and stopped it.
Wasa broke this the only way it was possible: No more union.

Adding revoltrisk in Norway is a very ahistorical idea.. I think denmark controlled Norway with something like 60 soldiers. The Norwegians didnt really care who controlled them and definetaly did not revolt much.

From what I've seen, the only times Norway have stayed independent in the game, was if Sweden broke free from the vassalisation before the event.

And whenever they stay independent, they're annexed by france or england anyways! :D
