I feel that some things were left behind, in fact I don't know the reasons for their withdrawal, it is just my opinion, I have been playing HIP for years and I remember some things that were withdrawn and were very cool, in my opinion. In no way am I saying that the mod is bad, the mod is still sensational.

1. Coronation events, they were very cool, each coronation had several events, very good, and with that big event at the end. I remember even fighting and killing a guest at the coronation banquet. Now the events are around who will crown and there are few.

2. Dueling events, each event for each stroke that the characters delivered I thought was very interesting, now the duels are just two events, one for those who will duel, and the other for those who basically won or lost, all of this around of the Holy Fury's half-German combat system.

3. Portraits ... Oh CPRplus, the portraits are very good, I miss the French and Italian portraits, apparently it was replaced by the portraits that came with Holy Fury.

Basically Holy Fury brought many things that were in HIP, which ended up replacing that of the mod, and for me the mechanics, portraits and equivalent events of the mod were better. You can see by the difference between CPRplus helmets and the crusaders' helmets that came with Holy Fury, the quality is lower than that of the mod in general.

VIET has been brought back, I believe, albeit by different people.

yeah, it was brought back by Cybrxhan, but it's no longer part of the HIP module. It, as well as some other immersion packs, are all compatible with HIP though.

I suspect the first two were removed because they both had versions introduced in vanilla, which might have invalidated their underlying scripts in one way or another.

Coronations are still in HIP, but they are pretty close vanilla (if not the vanilla event).

Duelling probably disappeared because the personal combat stat and other duelling mechanics appeared in vanilla too.
