Burgundy, don't ask me how, was vassalized by the Ummayad Caliphate. The king and all Burgundian nobles however remained Catholic.
Still, as the land was officially under Muslim controll, the Pope called for a Crusade. I, the then Chatenois King of France, wrecked the Muslims and my daughter became the new Queen of Burgundy.

However, this is what I'm curious about:

ALL nobles of every single county, duchy, barony (including bishoprics and cities) have been replaced with random Frankish or French nobles from already existing families (sons or other relatives of Frankish/French lords). Remember, these nobles were all still Catholics, just like the former Burgundian king.

Why did this happen? In "small" holy wars you vassalize all Catholics, but in this case every single lord was banished, regardless of wealth, religion or culture...

In crusades everyone gets thrown out but if there are claimants they may be given the titles, so essentially every character got banished and their brother/cousins were given their titles.
