I'm playing my first game of MBW and now that I've got my first fief (the village of Mazen) I have set my sights on getting myself a castle (or town). So far I've only captured towns jointly with my faction’s forces.
What happens if I capture a castle on my own? I guess it would need to be garrisoned by me and I would also need to rush to see the king to ask him to grant it to me. As my relations with the Vaegir king & other boyars is still pretty neutral I wonder what happens to the said garrison if I do not get the castle. Would the new owner inherit the troops I've left temporarily to guard it? I would hate to see my only army to be given to some other boyar.
How important would it be to try to persuade the other lords to support me for the castle? How much does the king listen to their opinions when he decides who will get it?
Cheers, H.
